Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, continues to experience some health struggles as she just had to undergo some more surgery.

Briana’s husband Ryan Culberson took to his social media hours ago to ask fans for prayers, revealing she had to have neck surgery.

Ryan wrote, “Please keep Briana in your thoughts and prayers this morning as she has another surgery on her neck. Hopefully this is the last one!”

This latest surgery comes after Briana, 30, revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with lupus. Since then the mom of two has experienced what mom Vicki refers to as a “tough year” when it comes to her health.

In an interview with Page Six last month, Vicki admitted it hasn’t been an easy road for Briana following her diagnosis.

“It’s been a tough year for her. She was back at the doctor on Friday. Lupus has affected part of her heart, it’s literally something every other week,” Vicki, 55, revealed. “It affects her in different ways, her immune system is very low.”

And back in June, Vicki revealed in another interview that Briana almost died after a dirty scalpel was used on her during an operation.

“It almost killed my daughter,” Vicki told Access Hollywood.  “[The scalpel was infected] with feces from a previous surgery that day they put inside her body… So, not good, she almost lost her leg. She almost died and all this stuff.”

Fortunately for Briana, she was able to make a full recovery after treatment with three weeks of “IV antibiotics and got all of it out of her body.”

As for her latest setback, Ryan referred to it as “Stylohyoid syndrome.” He wrote that “it’s a condition caused by an elongated or misshapen styloid process, the slender, pointed piece of bone just below the ear, and/or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament, which interferes with the functioning of neighboring regions in the body, giving rise to pain.”

The good news is that just moments ago Ryan shared an update that the surgery went well. He wrote in the comments section of his post: “Out of surgery now and in our room for the night. Doctor said everything went well and expects a full recovery.”

This surgery comes just days after the couple revealed they are planning to move out of Orange County in two weeks as they will be uprooting their family to North Carolina.
