The 46-yr-old Bravo reality star, who apparently didn’t have her own security team, found herself ambushed by an animal rights group while signing copies of her memoir, Pretty Mess.
While the video of the ordeal, which is posted below, first popped up online on March 23, the actual incident occurred on March 20 during her book signing at Bookends in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
An oblivious Erika can be seen signing books when she suddenly finds herself surrounded by a group of people accusing her of wearing real fur.
A startled Erika managed to maintain her cool as the group chanted, “Shame on you for supporting the violent fur industry” and “Erika Jayne has blood on her hands.”

Erika did not utter a word throughout the experience and, after about 30 seconds of chanting, the group ultimately dispersed and left the book signing without further incident.
The video first originated on Youtube after it was shared by an animal rights activist who is surprisingly not associated with PETA, but rather another animal rights organization called Their Turn.
The original video implores Erika to “show some compassion” and “stop wearing fur.”
Not surprisingly, the video has garnered a lot of sympathy for Erika, even from those who aren’t fans, as many feel this was invasive and rather scary.
Erika has yet to speak out about the ordeal, but she did like a tweet from a fan which praised her for how she handled it.
