RHONJ’s Margaret Josephs Explains Why She Revealed Bill Aydin’s Affair On-Camera, Calls Jennifer Aydin HypocriticalThe Real Housewives of New Jersey just aired its first episode of the new season on Tuesday, February 1. The drama is already beginning to unfold as Margaret Josephs came for Jennifer Aydin and was able to get Jennifer to confirm that her husband, Bill Aydin, had a past affair with a pharmaceutical rep.

Speaking with Page Six, Margaret explained that she had reached a breaking point with Jennifer’s “hypocrisy” and not taking accountability for her actions.

“I mean, I knew it to be true. I’ve known a long time. You’ve seen me in previous seasons; I hit a nerve, like, I’ve known this. I never wanted to say it,” Margaret said.

Margaret continued by saying that Jennifer was not being “honest” with everyone, and that’s why she had to reveal Bill’s affair, though her intentions were never to hurt the Aydins.

“I was like, ‘You’re not being honest and you’re not honest with everybody.’ And it’s bad. And I think that’s why I had said it,” she said.

“Listen, I didn’t want to cut her to the core, and I did not want to hurt Bill. That’s not what the intention was. It was just like, wake up. This is not going to be happening,” the RHONJ star stated.

After RHONJ’s previous season, in which Jennifer repeatedly called Margaret’s character into question after it was revealed she felt pressured to sleep with a former boss and cheated on her former husband with her current husband, Joe Benigno, Margaret has had enough.

“But coming off last season and the chastising of me for the sexual harassment and everything else, you know, the hypocrisy of it all to me,” she explained. “And then just her never taking responsibility for her behavior.”

Margaret continued by saying that she still “adores” Bill, and it should be noted that while not everyone is perfect, it was unfair for Jennifer to put on a front that her marriage was perfect although it clearly wasn’t.

“The truth is, he cannot be made to be on a pedestal and amazing, [or that] he’s the greatest and I am the worst person ever…the way I met my husband, saying I slept my way to the top, and all these awful things,” she said.

“Your husband, which he admittedly said, had an affair with someone, you know, in a business sense…That doesn’t mean, you know, he’s so much better than me. He is the greatest and I am the worst. That just not the way it rolls,” Margaret concluded.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
