Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is coming for current nemesis Marlo Hampton’s decision to not reveal her July 1 home invasion scare until recently, and she basically calls the announcement too little too late.
As we previously reported, Marlo and her family were victims of a terrifying home invasion earlier this month after the self-proclaimed “Mauntie” and her nephew saw men kicking in the door to their Sandy Springs home.
Marlo stated that they fled to a panic room where she called 911. She claimed her nephew’s screams led to the intruders fleeing the scene, and luckily, no one was harmed.
However, RHOA co-star Kenya took to Twitter to slam Marlo’s late reveal, saying that it selfishly put the rest of the cast in harm’s way, but she was “happy no one was hurt.”
“Happy no one was hurt…” Kenya began her tweet. “But she took the time to withhold information from the cast that could possibly help keep us safe, but [she] was happy to release details in interviews #rhoa #fake”
The tweet seems to have since been deleted, but @QueensofBravo was able to get a screenshot of the accusations.
Kenya and Marlo have had a rocky relationship, to say the least, this season on RHOA, but making accusations and calling what could have been a violent crime “fake?” That’s bold.
Police were involved and four men were eventually apprehended in connection with the crime.
Marlo’s fans quickly had her back regarding the situation, noting that the police probably had something to do with not sharing the information early on as multiple parties and victims were involved.
One user tweeted, “She most likely didn’t speak on it by request of the police. They were investigating a string of gang affiliated, armed robberies in her neighborhood. Could she have told the other girls before doing the interview once she had clearance, maybe.”
Another added, “Kenya you should be worried about Marlo health and Marlo can’t save you from robbers she not po po.”
A third chimed in, “This isn’t a moment tbh police investigations like this are kept on the low Marlo most likely was told to keep quiet and is just now able to release details I’m not saying she shouldn’t say anything but attacking her when she could’ve been killed isnt a good look.”
What do you make of Kenya’s opinions of Marlo’s handling of the situation?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta currently airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
