Summer House star Paige DeSorbo is opening up about the hardest part about being in a public relationship with a fellow reality star, Southern Charm’s Craig Conover.
Paige and Craig began officially dating in October of 2021 after meeting and starring in Bravo’s Winter House together. Speaking to E! News, Paige is revealing that even though the two are sharing their relationship to “hundreds of thousands of people” on television, they must be authentically themselves for their romance to work — regardless of what trolls online have to say.
“It’s definitely hard for you to know that there’s hundreds of thousands of people that have opinions on your relationship,” Paige admitted. “But you have to remember I don’t know Jessica in Iowa who hates me and my boyfriend, and I’ll probably never meet her. So, why am I going to let what she said hurt my feelings?”
The Summer House star also went on to say that having a partner like Craig who is going through the same process has only helped the couple grow stronger. Even the mutual hate the two receive helps.
“[I’m lucky to be] dating someone who’s going through the exact same thing,” Paige said before continuing, “If people mutually hate us, it kind of brings us together. ‘I’m like, ‘Everybody hates us.’ And he’s like, ‘Whatever, I love you.'”
Surprisingly, something else that have brought Paige and Craig even closer is, believe it or not, a skincare regimen.
According to Paige, Craig had no clue about skincare before she came into the picture. She told E!,“The other night, I said to him, ‘Go wash your face.’ And he was like, ‘I don’t know how to do that without getting in the shower, And I’m like, we have so much more work to do here than I thought.”
“But now he uses a moisturizer. The man never used a face moisturizer, and now he puts it right next to all my skincare,” Paige revealed. She added that Craig is also obsessed with face masks and “gets annoyed” if she doesn’t include him when she treats herself to one.
Paige doesn’t see her makeup/skincare routine as “picky” and hates wearing make-up during the week — especially anything “sticky or oily.” So much so that the star has partnered up with IRL Filter Longwear Foundation.
“It’s not oily, it’s not shiny, it’s not greasy,” Paige continued. “And sometimes, I am filming a show, so I need something that looks like a filter but doesn’t feel like a filter,” she explained.
Who knows? Maybe Paige can get Craig to jump on this makeup regimen too?
Summer House is currently on hiatus, and Southern Charm airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST.
