‘RHONJ’ Teresa Giudice’s Hairstylist Breaks Down $10K Iconic Wedding Hairstyle With More Than 1,500 Bobby Pins

Teresa Giudice’s wedding to Luis Ruelas has been making headlines for days now, but what many fans are still gossiping about is the over-the-top (literally) hairstyle that The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG chose to don for her nuptials.

The hairstyle was a half updo that mounted the reality star’s curls atop her head in sky-high fashion with the remaining tendrils cascading down her backside. It was a statement, to say the least.

The style has definitely sparked some debate online. Some fans love it, and some fans hate it.

Fortunately, Teresa’s hairstylist, Lucia Casazza, who has worked with Teresa since season three of RHONJ, was able to catch up with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM Radio Andy talk show. She gave listeners and fans a little insight into what factored into Teresa’s choice of hairstyle on her big day.

Lucia told Andy that in true Jersey fashion,” you go big, or you go home,” and that was the mentality she and Teresa took to heart when crafting Teresa’s wedding day hairstyle.

Per Lucia, Teresa wanted her hair to be “over the top,” adding, “She’s always about the hair, so we collaborated together.”

There’s no doubt that Teresa’s hair was on an epic scale, so how did it all come about?

Lucia says that she and Teresa were sending memes and sketches back and forth for weeks.

“She would send me these [hairstyles] that were so elaborate and like, Italian wedding, like very over the top. And I was like, love, love, love,” Lucia said, noting that the hairstyle was made completely out of human hair. It was placed atop the RHONJ star’s head and woven into extensions.

Lucia went on to say that the two of them then went to New York City together and “tried on every hairpiece” they could get their hands on.

“We tried on every hairpiece, every crown, like twice,” Lucia said. Then, the two finally decided on the crown Teresa wore for her wedding.

“When they put [this] one on her, it brought tears to my eyes,” Lucia gushed. “This is it. This is the crown.”

According to Lucia, Teresa had over $7,000 worth of extensions going in her natural hair to complete the look. Of course, Andy wanted to steal it for his Watch What Happens Live clubhouse, but unfortunately, that was a hard no as it was “lying in a pile on the floor” after the big day.

Hopefully, this marriage lasts as long as those extensions.
