Kathryn Dennis Confirms Her Exit from Southern Charm, See Her Emotional Statement as She Shares a Cryptic Quote Amid Departure

Kathryn Dennis has made it official — she’s no longer a cast member on Southern Charm. Until now, the 31-year-old remained silent amid reports of her firing, which alleged she was difficult to work with.

When the show began in 2014, Kathryn was a 21-year-old dating co-star Thomas Ravenel, who is 29 years her senior. The former couple now has two children together and is currently embroiled in a custody battle.

In a statement via PEOPLE, Kathryn confirmed her departure from the hit Bravo show.

“What a wild ride it’s been!” exclaimed the star. “Can you believe I was 21 when I first started filming Southern Charm, back in its first season? That was in 2013, and in the decade that followed, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I’ll never forget (and a few, even, that I’d like to).”

She went on to say, “Y’all watched me grow up, become a mom to two amazing children, and build friendships I’ll always treasure. And through it all, the love y’all have shown for me not only gave me the strength I needed to tackle it all, but helped me realize that I wasn’t alone. I’m so grateful.”

“I’ll be carrying that love with me as I enter this next chapter of my life, away from the Southern Charm lens. I’m thankful for Bravo, the producers at Haymaker and my Charleston cast mates for everything,” Kathryn continued. “And I’m excited for whatever comes next. If it’s anything like the last decade, it’ll be a memorable ride. LFG [let’s f—ing go].”

After her confirmation, the star took to Instagram and wrote a cryptic post, seemingly addressing her new situation.

“In order to rise from its own ashes, a phoenix first must burn,” wrote the star on January 11, attributing the quote to author Octavia Butler.

Was Kathryn implying she was burned by Bravo? Nothing in her statement suggests the exit was her own decision. This perhaps solidifies the recent reports that she was fired.

Amid her exit, Kathryn reportedly joined OnlyFans, and she is currently charging $14.99 a month to subscribers.
