Below Deck stars Katie Glaser and Ross McHarg have left their boat romance right where it began — at sea.
Season 10 of the hit Bravo show saw Katie and Ross trying to navigate a rocky romance while dealing with Ross’s playboy antics. He also tried to snag Katie’s co-star Alissa Humber’s affections, resulting in an awkward love triangle.
Viewers will remember that during a crew dinner, Ross drunkenly made a move on Alissa right in front of Katie, much to her chagrin. Alissa has previously gone on to call Katie’s stance on the ordeal “silly” and “childish,” noting that it’s crazy to only know someone for a few weeks and try to get them “handcuffed” into a relationship.
And Katie seems to have come around and agreed, revealing to E! News that she and Ross decided to part ways after filming wrapped.
“We both live on opposite sides of the world—he went his way after the show and I went mine,” Katie told the outlet. “At the end of the day we decided that it was what it was on the boat and after the boat we both went our separate ways.”
“But at the end of the day I realized Ross and I were never going to have anything after the show,” she continued. “It was a fun experience.”
The deckhand then elaborated on how she handled Ross’s blatant disregard for her feelings after Ross and Alissa’s interaction. She says that his behavior is not something she would “tolerate” in her “normal life,” so she had to keep “hitting him in the head until he listens.”
Katie also noted that though she and Alissa are “good” now, she does believe that Alissa “knew what she was doing” and indulged Ross’s advances on purpose, adding that it “really bugs me.”
“I think there was a little intention of getting under my skin, because it worked,” she said.
As for her romantic life presently, Katie says that she is happily single and has no plans to settle down any time soon.
“I am single. I’m just enjoying life right now,” the reality star said, before adding that the yachting industry is an “interesting” dating pool to dive into.
Season 10 of Below Deck currently airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
