Meghan King Claps Back at Ex Jim Edmonds' Custody Request Modification, Shades Vicki's Return as RHOC "Friend," and Talks “Tragic” Bus Scene

Meghan King clapped back at her ex-husband Jim Edmonds after he reportedly filed a motion to change their current custody agreement.

She also shaded her former Real Housewives of Orange County castmate Vicki Gunvalson, who’s returning to the franchise as a “friend,” and addressed the “tragic” Ireland bus ride from a previous season.

According to Page Six, Meghan unleashed her thoughts about Jim amid their custody drama.

“History can kind of speak for itself,” the star told the outlet on Monday. “Jim has had three separate mothers of his children, and we’ve all experienced the same kind of thing … So I’m just gonna let that speak for itself.”

She said, “I’m just continuing to be the best mom I can. So to me, nothing will change or has changed. I’m just focused on my children, they’re always my No. 1 priority, and they always will be. That’s all there is to it.”

The former couple shares custody of their three children, but Jim filed a motion to modify the arrangement, which he called “impractical and unworkable,” according to court docs obtained by People.

Jim reportedly desires “a greater amount of time with the three children and a more consistent schedule.”

Page Six reported that Jim and Meghan submit respective custody schedules before 30 days, but a Parent Coordinator ultimately decides if the two can’t agree to a certain month’s schedule.

One source told the outlet, “Meghan does everything possible to make life difficult for Jim and in the process also makes life difficult for her children … Sometimes it seems she hates Jim more than she lives [sic] her kids. Jim is really upset about how Meghan’s actions affect the children.”

The insider added, “on the days Jim picks the kids up from school, Meghan will dress them in pajamas so their good school clothes don’t end up at Jim’s house.”

In an interview with People, Jim’s rep claimed the athlete and Kortnie O’Conner, his fourth wife, “believe Meghan is unstable, unfit, unwilling to co-parent and unable to provide an environment for the children that is emotionally and physically safe.”

“If Meghan is unable to effectively parent and co-parent under [the newly proposed] agreement, Jim is prepared to continue to seek greater custody of the children to ensure their emotional and physical well-being.”

Meghan shared in her statement, “I’ve been the primary parent and single mother of my children with zero issues except for the ones in which Jim causes … His salacious claims are unfounded and will be found so in court. My children have always been and always will be my top priority.”

Speaking with @rickycornish, Meghan also revealed her thoughts on Vicki’s return to the franchise.

“Well, I think Vicki’s coming back as a friend, which is all anybody needs to see of her,” said the alum, who declared she’s “stoked” to see Tamra again. Meghan also claimed she’s still in touch with Heather Dubrow, who returned last season, several years after her exit.

Meghan then addressed the “tragic” bus scene in Ireland – when Heather called Kelly Dodd “trash,” and insinuated the costar was having a “psychotic break.”

“I was just like, ‘these are grown women acting this way,’” explained Meghan, who shared that she was pregnant with her daughter at the time. “They were so mean to Kelly, and Kelly was so mean back.”

Meghan continued, “We didn’t even have cameras rolling. All that was rolling was our own cell phones.”
