Tom Schwartz and Porsha Williams will face off in a new celebrity competition show called Stars on Mars amid speculation that the Vanderpump Rules star covered up ‘Scandoval.’
According to fan theories, Schwartz helped his buddy Tom Sandoval hide his months-long affair with castmate Raquel Leviss during his relationship with Ariana Madix. The scandal has created a wave of media attention, extending well beyond the Bravoverse.
In a press release shared via foxflash.com, Fox announced the unscripted series, which will premiere Monday, June 5. The competition will feature reality stars, athletes, actors, comedians, entrepreneurs, and others as they compete to “colonize and conquer ‘Mars’ until there is one victorious space invader, who will claim the title of ‘the brightest star in the galaxy.’”
Wearing astronaut suits, the cast of 12 will be asked to perform assignments from host William Shatner. Included in the cast are Tom, Porsha, Lance Armstrong, Natasha Leggero, Adam Rippon, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Ronda Rousey, Tinashe, Tallulah Willis, Richard Sherman, Marshawn Lynch, and Ariel Winter.
The stars will “live, eat, sleep, strategize and bond with each other in the same space station” while facing “authentic conditions that simulate life on Mars.” Every week, the celebrities will vote off one castmate.
Porsha recently returned to the small screen for season three of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, a mashup spinoff of the Housewives franchise. The star, who departed from Real Housewives of Atlanta after season 13, quickly became a fan favorite on the spinoff.
Stars on Mars will premiere Monday, June 5, at 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. Vanderpump Rules currently airs Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
