Amid reports that Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss have split following their months-long affair, sources and Tom’s reps claim that their relationship status remains unchanged — as in, undefined.
“Clearly the rumors going around are not credible as they don’t have their facts right — including Tom’s age,” a representative for Tom told PEOPLE on May 17.
A rep for Raquel had no comment at this time.
The disgraced duo has largely remained silent on the current state of their romance following the cheating scandal going public. After the explosive Pump Rules season 10 reunion, Raquel entered a mental health facility, and Tom has been struggling to fill seats while on tour with his band Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras.
According to a source at the outlet, “Tom and Raquel never put a label on their relationship to begin with. After their affair was exposed and the blowback they received, they said that before defining things, they needed to take time to address the issues in their own lives that drove them to this in the first place. And that’s where things still are.”
“There’s no split because they were never a couple,” they concluded.
Last month, Tom gave an ill-advised interview with Howie Mandel, confirming that he wasn’t putting “any label on anything” following the backlash. He added that the two were taking time apart from “physical intimacy.”
Five days after the affair made headlines, Raquel said, “I need to take care of my health, work on self-growth and take time to be ok with being alone.”
Tom’s ex-partner of nine years, Ariana Madix, has been showered with support from co-stars and friends alike after she discovered an explicit video on Tom’s video confirming the affair. She also recently said that she doesn’t believe the reports Tom and Raquel are no longer together.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live following the season 10 finale, the Something About Her co-owner revealed that Tom is still receiving mail from Raquel at the home where they still are cohabitating. However, she added that the contents of said mail are unknown because she didn’t open the letter because, well, federal law.
Viewers will next see the former friends confront the situation head-on during the three-part Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
Part one premieres Wednesday, May 24, at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
