'RHOC' Emily Simpson Admits Using 'Ozempic' For "1 Month" and Opens Up About Weight Loss, Plus She Discusses “Liposuction” and a “Breast Reduction”

Emily Simpson opened up about her weight loss after seemingly clapping back earlier at the suggestion that she used Ozempic.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed she was on a “semaglutide” in December, and she got “liposuction” and a “breast reduction.”

Recently, after the mother-of-three posted a photo of her new physique, fans began speculating she was taking the drug. At the time, Emily clapped back at the allegations, claiming her arms were “jacked” because of “heavy lifting.”

In an interview for SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Emily shared more insight into her weight loss journey.

According to Emily, her decision to lose weight came eight months ago when she finished filming the new RHOC season in November 2022, and a producer sent her a photo of herself from the show.

“He sent me a picture of myself on the green screen and I remember thinking, “Who is that?” Like, I didn’t even know that it was me and it really depressed me. I knew that I had gained weight. I didn’t like the way I looked, so I went to the doctor,” shared Emily. “I did a full blood panel. My cholesterol was high. I have zero testosterone. I was pre-diabetic, so she actually said, ‘Why don’t you do a semaglutide?'”

The star revealed she took a semaglutide, which is Ozempic, for “one month” in December.

“You know, I, that was a great kickstart for me,” said Emily. “I’m just gonna say that for me, it worked amazing because it really just kind of all the bad habits that I had where I was just kind of grazing, not really paying attention to what I was eating, eating late at night, eating my kids’ food, it just, all that stuff just kind of went away. It made me more conscientious of what I was eating, and so that was a really great kickstart for me. I didn’t lose a lot of weight doing it. I maybe lost five to seven pounds or something like that.”

As for why she stopped taking Ozempic, Emily stated: “I didn’t like the way it made me feel lethargic and it made me just not have a lot of energy, which was hard with three little kids, but it does make you feel full and it does make you, for me, it was like a refresh.”

Emily explained she also had “liposuction” in her arms as well as a “breast reduction” in January of this year.

Earlier this week, a fan commented on a recent post of Emily’s and asked her, “How’s that ozempic workkng [sic] out for you? … Just sad rhag [sic] she thinks she needs to change her body temporarily because it will all revert back to how it was before when she stops taking it. I think she was perfect before.”

Emily clapped back, “You don’t know me and nothing will ‘revert back’ bc my arms are jacked from heavy lifting.”

Jackie Goldschneider, from Real Housewives of New Jersey, has frequently suggested that more and more Housewives are turning to Ozempic-like medications to shed pounds. In Jackie’s opinion, this is a major problem — given the allegation that the weight will return as soon as they stop taking the expensive drug.

Commenting on Emily’s recent photo, Jackie declared she’ll be the “last woman standing” – seemingly implying she’ll be the only Housewife to abstain from the medication.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
