Lisa Vanderpump was challenged by an animal rights activist over her decision to serve meat at her restaurants. The Vanderpump Rules star also said goodbye to her Pump restaurant, which recently closed its doors after 10 years of service.

Lisa herself has advocated for animal rights throughout the years, particularly for dogs. The 62-year-old had a Peacock series called Vanderpump Dogs, showcasing her dog foundation and rescue center. One of the biggest scandals on Lisa’s original show, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, revolved around the rescue center after Dorit Kemsley adopted a puppy who eventually ended up at a shelter — and Lisa allegedly leaked the story to the press.

In a video shared by @streetpeopleofwesthollywood on Instagram, Lisa was challenged by a passionate animal rights activist.

According to the account, the activist asked, “Lisa, why do you say you love dogs and then raise chickens to be killed?”

“Oh my God!” Lisa exclaimed. “I know, I get it. I’m a vegetarian. I can’t fight every fight!”

The activist eventually yelled out, “Lisa, have compassion for baby animals!”

The video was seemingly taken on the same night she closed Pump amid reports that the rent was increased by landlords.

“My Pump boys, you are exceptional,” said the star in a heartfelt speech at the restaurant’s closing, via @tasteof_reality on Instagram.

“So officially I’d say, that’s a wrap, and the Pump has left the building. Good night.”

Vanderpump Rules season 11 is currently filming.
