RHOSLC Recap: Angie confronts Meredith about spreading rumors about Shawn and he cries when he finds out Plus Monica confronts her mother Linda when she said "I hate her f*cking guts" on a phone call!

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are dealing with some Après rumors this week. The foul content of this rumor is going to stink up the Mormon temple like a fart could in church. Let us pray for peace, shall we?

Angie is now headed toward Meredith, who is literally almost frozen solid with her cool exterior while donning her Ice Queen cape. Angie comes in a little lukewarm at first, which still does not defrost Mer, and she confronts her about spreading rumors about her marriage. Meredith coyly denies she has spread the rumors — but she has heard them and shared them with those who will spread them. Whitney and Monica join them, and Whit tells Mer that she indeed has been doing that. Angie then spits out that Meredith is the only one spreading her legs outside of her marriage. Meredith refuses to engage with Angie when she feels she is not speaking to her with respect.

Lisa, who clearly cannot read a room, is glad they got together. She finds out quickly what has transpired across the room, and she is reminded that she was accused by Mer of using blowies to get jazz tickets. Mary, who is so insufferable, cannot believe she got dressed up for this and just wants to know where the food is. She is incredibly rude to the server, calling him lazy when he does not box her food up himself. Monica chimes in wanting a fresh pizza, but Mary tells her to get it herself.

Heather admits she has heard this rumor but it’s more about how the male hairdressers and men who wear cardigans are gay. Meredith tells her friend Kathy that Angie has a weird obsession with her. Lisa thinks she and Angie are both victims of the situation, and I just love her lack of self-awareness. She does not believe Shawn had affairs with other men. Monica thinks this is some Utah sh*t by pretending to not know this. Side note: Mary is so nasty to the other women and the waitstaff, which makes it painful to see her interact with them.

The next morning, Angie, who is already in full makeup, gets out of bed, and she is resentful that anyone would question her family and their relationship. She tells Shawn that the rumor is that he is into men. Shawn thinks Meredith is a f*cking idiot. He resents the adultery part and thinks it is a smear campaign. Shawn gets emotional since he is worried that their daughter is going to hear this rumor and question her dad. Shawn wants to be Elecktra’s hero, and this scene is awful, and I was uncomfortable with Shawn breaking down. He does not want Meredith ever to be in their home so there will be no Ouzo for Mer in their home again!

Monica is showing us how busy her morning is with her four kids and her adorable dog Chap. She is running her kids in four directions with all their schools and activities. Monica did not have stability with her own mom but wanted this for her children. While in the car, the kids discuss if boner is a bad word, and that made me chuckle since I have had these conversations and it brought me back.

Lisa and Jack are going to get pedicures together. Jack mentions he has a date for the prom. Lisa wants to know if this girl knows he is going away on a mission. She finds the silver lining to be that Jack did not choose the route of meth or teenage pregnancy. Lisa lets us know that she does not go to the “pretty temple” because of her Diet Coke addiction and her tequila business. You can see this is exactly why Jack has chosen to have his Mormon education outside of this home. Jack says he made this decision for himself and refuses to let Lisa accept credit for his very adult decision.

Lisa and Whitney go to Angie’s house for a delicious lunch, and Mer is going to miss out by pissing off the Greeks! She wishes she had someone checking on her after she was upset for the last three years. Angie shares that Shawn cried when he heard this rumor was being spread. Lisa is concerned about her rekindled relationship with Meredith and if this could happen to HER again. She wants to know why Monica is so involved in this rumor. Whitney thinks that Monica is Mer’s decoy, and she is clueless to see she is being used as a pawn to the Ice Queen.

Angie shares that Heather invited her over to her home, and she saw a different side to Heather while they were painting birdhouses. She mentions that Heather has apologized. Heather claims she felt bad that Angie was piled on in Palm Springs. Lisa keeps bringing the conversation back to herself. She thinks she has had it worse than her, and she had no one backing her. Lisa resents that she never got an apology from Heather.

Meredith, with her 40-inch faux ponytail, is in the car with her son Brooks, and I already find myself dozing off listening to these two drone on. She shares that she got caught in a terrible storm after leaving the party and the driver almost went over the cliff. Mer thought she was going to die, and she now just wants to be close to her kids. Brooks, who is driving with his ski goggles, which cannot possibly be safe, is discussing his relationship that has ended. He does not seem to know what he wants, and I just cannot stop myself from zoning out. They are going to do some snowshoeing together, which Mer clearly has not done in the past. OMG, Brooks looks ridiculous running through the snow while wearing his snowshoes. Mer looks on with maternal pride that she created the male version of herself.

Monica, her mom Linda, and her sassy grandma Olivia are going to the senior center, but Nana wants a fish sandwich before she heads there. When they arrive at the senior center, there is a group playing cards for Coca-Cola. Linda wants to share a dating story with her daughter Monica. She shares she was supposed to spend the weekend with this guy, but she got ghosted since she told him she was celibate. Monica cannot believe she still adheres to the Mormon church doctrine even though she left the church.

Monica tells her mom that she does more for her kids than her mom ever did. She wants Linda to quit walking into her home unannounced. Monica could be engaged in a 69 with some guy and would not like her mom walking into this scene. She reminds her mom that she heard her say she hated her f*cking guts. Grandma Olivia must come over to tell them to stop talking dirty in the senior center. What is wrong with these women?

Whitney and Heather go skiing, and they sit down to chat. Heather lets Whit know that she was the last one to hear about Lisa’s son Jack and his mission. She wants Whitney to speak up about how homophobic and racist the Mormon community can be. Whitney cannot understand why Heather wants her to be the one to tell Jack this information. She shares that she does not have any global feelings about Jack’s decision. Whit thinks he needs to experience it himself and make up his own mind.  Heather is troubled that Jack will be going door-to-door just like she did to sell this religion. She needs to realize that people make a choice to open their doors, and if they want to listen to their message, let them. If not, do not answer the door like I do!

Whitney then changes the subject to Lisa being upset she was never invited to paint birdhouses with Heather. She believes Lisa was jealous that Heather reached out to Angie with an olive branch. Heather is still clearly upset with Whitney for her lack of outrage at Jack’s decision to join a church that Whit herself had been a victim of. Whitney is not willing to interfere in Jack’s decision, but Heather is clearly wanting to share more of her story to dissuade him…

Next week, we continue to have drama with the ladies, and Mary continues her path of destruction among the group. Have a great day, Blurbers, and see you next week!
