Heather Dubrow shared her thoughts on the return of Alexis Bellino to Real Housewives of Orange County, and she addressed having to film again after the season was supposed to have wrapped – before reports surfaced over Jennifer Pedranti’s boyfriend Ryan Boyajian and his alleged connection to a gambling scheme.
Many seasons ago, Heather and Alexis seemed in an endless feud. But both stars eventually left the show (before Heather came back in season 16), and time apparently healed all wounds.
“I’ve been campaigning for Alexis to come back for a few years now, so I was thrilled that she was coming back,” said Heather in an interview with PEOPLE. “But as you know, truth is stranger than fiction and who could have predicted the John Janssen of it all?”
“So, it’s interesting,” the star continued. “I mean, it’s quite a season.”
Heather was also asked if she thought Alexis’ return was related to John’s ex Shannon Beador.
“No, Alexis is a really lovely girl,” she answered. “She wouldn’t hurt a fly intentionally.”
Back in January, an insider close to production revealed that Alexis was returning to the show as a friend.
“Alexis is feeling energized and excited to be back in the mix,” said the insider. “She has authentic relationships with many of the girls, so it feels completely natural to be spending time with friends.”
In a recent interview shared on her TikTok, Heather also addressed the return of cameras after the season wrapped.
“Some things happened,” she said. “It was so crazy that they picked the cameras back up and we were filming last weekend. So much happened this season. I wonder if some things are gonna end up not being shown because too much happened. It was too crazy.”
