In a resurfaced post from 2021, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann called out “desperate single girls” for “warn[ing]” her about her husband, Brett Engemann, amid rumors on the current season that he cheated. Meanwhile, her castmate Taylor Frankie Paul reacted to fans’ suggestion that Demi is “disgust[ed]” by her posts, as Taylor hinted she’s moving.

In the new season, someone online anonymously claimed that Brett was unfaithful. Then, in what appeared to be a hot-mic moment, Demi and Brett argued about the rumor as she implied he was being too defensive.

On June 2, a Reddit user posted Demi’s strange 2021 TikTok video.

Over the clip, Demi wrote, “When desperate single girls tried to ‘warn’ me about the guy I was dating…”

She then tilted her head, smiled at the camera, and showed her wedding ring. “So I married him,” she wrote.

Fans soon reacted to the resurfaced video.

“I don’t think Demi’s character changed a whole lot since [this video],” wrote @kawaiisamurai69, who shared the clip on Reddit. “I don’t think anyone who thinks this way is a girls girl. ‘Desperate single girls’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ … You can rest assured they were not jealous of your husband Demi.”

Another fan added, “[Girl] … that’s not the flex you think it is.”

“Bruh how embarrassing for her 😂 imagine bragging about being gaslit and manipulated,” said a different fan.

“No one should marry someone to spite someone,” wrote another. “It’s sad though that this rhetoric around girls trying to warn and protect others is twisted to be a bad thing when all they want to do is help you out before things get awful, possibly.”

Around the same time, Taylor posted an Instagram video of herself crying as she hinted she’s moving.

“[My son is] helping me pack for somewhere new,” she wrote over the video. “At least I got an angel out of it.”

In the caption, Taylor implied that it has something to do with the child’s father, Dakota Mortensen, amid their on-and-off relationship. “If it took all this pain to just get [my son], I’d do it again,” she said.

In a comment, a fan asked Taylor, “What’s happening?” They also asked if she’s “moving.”

“Processing pain,” Taylor answered, via @queensofbravo on Instagram. “And yes want a fresh start.”

Another fan commented, “Every time I see a crying video I can hear Demi’s disgust.”

Taylor responded, “Haha I have no shame, if you can post happiness, you can post sadness too.”
