Netflix has made its mark on the world of reality television with multiple shows. This includes real estate hits like Selling Sunset and Selling the OC. Now, there’s casting news for both shows ahead of their respective new seasons. Notably, they’re both set to return to the streamer later this year.

Selling Sunset premiered on Netflix in 2019 and focuses on the staff at the Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles. Since then, there have been multiple spinoffs, and Selling the OC is the most popular.

Netflix is hitting the ground running with season nine of Selling Sunset. According to PEOPLE, Sandra Vergara, who is the cousin and adoptive sister of actress Sofia Vergara, will be joining the cast. She took to her Instagram Stories following the announcement to say, “I guess the cat’s out of the bag.”

According to the press release, Sandra will begin working as a realtor at the Oppenheimer group, “where new faces will bring new feuds into the Los Angeles real estate market. As the pressure turns up in their personal and professional lives, some might not have what it takes to keep their seat at the brokerage. As the landscape in Los Angeles quickly changes, everyone will have to adapt to a new reality.”

Sandra also said in the release, “The O Group felt like the perfect fit: sharp, high energy, and full of people who are at the top of their game.” She went on, “Season 9 definitely brings some unexpected twists. There are some jaw-dropping moments you won’t see coming.”

She also spoke with Netflix about her love of design. According to her, “I’ve always had an eye for design and a love for people, so combining that in real estate just clicked. I’d seen [Selling Sunset] and always thought the women were incredibly dynamic. But being on the inside now, it’s a whole different level of excitement.”

It’s also worth noting that Sandra has an extensive history in both luxury real estate and the entertainment industry. She was also a correspondent for PEOPLE and has appeared on shows such as Nip/Tuck and CSI.

The creator of the series, Adam DiVello, stated that the show will pick up where season eight left off. He revealed, “There was a lot of strife in the office and a lot of hurt feelings, so we pick up and try to get past that as quickly as possible and into new stories.”

Several cast members from Selling Sunset season eight will also return. According to Variety, they include Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, Bre Tiesi, Chelsea Lazkani, Mary Bonnet, Romain Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Alanna Gold, Nicole Young, Jason Oppenheim, and Brett Oppenheim.

Regarding Selling the OC, there will be three new faces when the series returns to Netflix: Kaylee Riccardi, Fiona Belle, and Ashtyn Zerboni. The returning cast members will consist of Jason Oppenheim, Alex Hall, Polly Brindle, Tyler Stanaland, Gio Helou, Austin Victoria, and Brandi Marshall

Kaylee Riccardi has 13 years of experience in the luxury real estate market, which includes managing short-term properties during Coachella. Fiona Belle joined the Oppenheim Group in 2024 and is from Orange County. Ashtyn Zerboni began her career as an actress and model, but she is now a real estate agent. She specializes in luxury real estate.
