Jack Osbourne Shares the Real Reason His Sister Aimee Never Appeared on 'The Osbournes'Ozzy Osbourne sadly passed away in July, and the music world has been in mourning ever since, offering kind words for the family he left behind.

Now, many are remembering the family’s reality show from the 2000s, which helped introduce the rock icon to a new generation of fans. Today, his son, Jack Osbourne, is sharing why his other sister, Aimee Osbourne, never appeared on the hit series.

The Osbournes premiered on MTV in 2002 and featured Ozzy and his wife, Sharon Osbourne. It also included two of their kids, Jack and Kelly Osbourne. The show offered an inside look at their family in a way that was unique at the time. The series ended in 2005 after achieving massive success.

Jack was recently on an episode of Disrespectfully with Katie Maloney & Dayna Kathan. While on the show, he was asked why Aimee wasn’t featured on the show. He began, “So back then, she really wanted to be a musician.”

He continued, “And the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, like Mazzy Star. Like this kind of obscure, mysterious, you know, moody, and she deemed doing a show on MTV as like low-hanging fruit. And she was like, ‘I’m not dumb. I’m not gonna be seen like riding coattails.’ Like, that’s how she perceived it.”

Jack then said, “And then once the show was hugely successful, I think she was kind of like, ‘Well, I can’t now come on because I don’t want to be seen even more as jumping on the bandwagon.’ And so she just kind of like dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure.
