Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant recently took to their Reasonably Shady podcast to discuss casting rumors for The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Married to Medicine. Now, this has prompted a lengthy response from K. Michelle, who reports state will be a part of the series when it returns to Bravo.
During the episode, the Real Housewives of Potomac alum stated, “Real Housewives of Atlanta has K. Michelle from Love & Hip Hop on their show.” She then mentioned that Married to Medicine has “Angel from Basketball Wives.”
The conversation continued, and Robyn said, “Atlanta has run out of people.” After discussing the casting rumors for a bit, Gizelle chimed in, saying, “Are we rinsing and recycling?” This led Robyn to say, “I really thought the network or the shows tried to avoid crossovers from different networks.”
She then doubled down, saying, “Atlanta is running out of people because you’re using people from other networks.” From there, they began to discuss K specifically, with Gizelle saying she’s not upset with her potentially joining the show because of all she has accomplished outside of Love & Hip Hop.
Gizelle said, “Out of the Love & Hip Hop world, there are very few people that I feel like have left that behind them and have gone on to do so many other things that it really wasn’t a factor.”
All in all, it was a mostly respectful conversation. However, this didn’t stop K from responding to the ladies, especially to Robyn.
She replied to The Neighboorhood Talk, who shared the video, writing, “Why be so worried about me and my overly educated and successful self, and what I might be doing??? Robyn, you ran out of a job a longggggg time ago. You would love to be recycled, you little Couch potato, just yappin.”
The songstress then said, “You should’ve RAN through that hotel lobby where your husband was, lady. Gizelle, you look beautiful. Leave me alone and let me go yodel in peace.”
From there, K compared her career to Robyn’s. She wrote, “I’ma round here selling out shows and you selling baseball hats, but you worried about me and what I might be doing. The nerve of this couch potato.”
The fan replies to the commentary were mixed, with some throwing shade at the RHOP ladies and others defending them. One fan wrote, “The comments are hyping things up & not even watching the videos fr because I can’t stand Robyn, but I don’t think she was being shady here, she even admitted K was somebody before Love & Hip Hop, which she was.”
The person continued, “She’s been an amazing artist. I feel like she was more so speaking about production with the Atlanta shows and their casting choices more than anything.”
However, another person said, “K Michelle is married, Angel is a Nurse, Robyn is unemployed, & Gizelle is lonely and single.”
