Turns out “fun” Gretchen has loose lips… On this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Katie is still missing, and the weekend trips each have a moment. In Beverly Hills, Gretchen spills about Tamra‘s alleged affair during a studio recording, and in Temecula, Tamra continues to push Shannon back into a friendship.
Tamra sure has a history of throwing people under the bus… and this time, Gina gets run over. Shannon is shocked to hear her drinking has once again been a topic of conversation behind her back, but Gina spins it as if she is “worried” about Shannon.
Gina is not willing to let Tamra get away with this. She points out that she did reprimand Tamra for picking on Shannon’s drinking, but then taking her away for secret drinks. Not cool. Tamra claims that cocktails are Shannon’s “love language,” and she is sick of people always having issues with what she does and what she says.
Shannon states she is working her way out of where she was last year, and she tells Tamra that she needs time in order for their relationship to move forward. Tamra is happy that she was able to talk things through with Shannon and is looking forward to having some “Shan”anigans back at the house.
In the meantime, the Beverly Hills crew chats about Tamra over their dinner. Heather admits that she WAS scared of Tamra before. Tamra’s behavior reminds Heather of her dad’s “explosions” growing up, and when she tried to explain this to Tamra, she blew Heather off.
Heather wanted to show Tamra that sometimes she acts in a way that makes her feel uncomfortable, much like her dad did. Emily believes Tamra always feels like she has to be combative, but Heather feels like she gravitates toward Tamra because of her past.
In Temecula, Tamra has supplied the ladies with oversized bikini shirts to make Shannon feel more comfortable about getting into the hot tub — versus the BH crew rolling up to The Abbey for a classy stripper experience. Gretchen is throwing back champs (on top of all the fireball), Emily is humping the strippers, and they all begin to work the pole. It turns out that Emily prefers fun Gretchen over the usual version she displays.
Emily is especially loving this mom’s night out, and Gretchen reminisces about her musical career…which gets her thinking about Tamra’s attempt at being a singer (and she was not very good, according to Gretchen). This shocks Emily and Heather, but not as much as what Gretchen says next.
Gretchen lets it slip that Tamra was in a studio when she banged ******?? Emily, a gen Xer, knows the singer, and Gretchen alludes that this happened when Tamra was married. Ooops.
Later, the Dubrow slumber party is next level ($15,000), equipped with matching jammies and a custom bed. Are we surprised? This is in stark contrast to the other group. Gina busts out the Dubrow joint, and she debriefs with Tamra.
Gina explains to Tamra that she needs to accept all types of people and allow everyone to grow with some space. Shannon feels like this is exhausting, and Jenn agrees that the Tamra cycle is simply not going to stop.
After a pillow fight and over some pizza, Gretchen spills that someone sent Tamra’s audio to Slade. Once Heather and Emily hear this, they insist on listening to it. A drunk Gretchen finally finds her phone, phones Slade, and the rest is history.
According to Slade, Tamra went into the studio with this mystery singer, and “the two of them started messing around and they forgot they were recording.” So, there is an audio out there of Tamra allegedly having sex with this singer.
Slade makes sure to say this is what they’ve been TOLD, but he goes on to share that he heard BOTH audios — the singing and the sex. Slade seems like he loves to spill the tea about Tamra and drop bombshells. After all of this, Gretchen is only NOW worried about the ladies going back to Tamra, but let’s be real… it is too late.
After smoking her joint, Gina lets Shannon know that she is worried about her. Odd timing. Gina is concerned about what Shannon’s drinking may be doing to her body. And now that the girls are out of her house, Gina is worried about how Shannon is passing her time. Little does she know, Shannon times herself with Sudoku puzzles!
The next morning, Shannon is busy whipping up breakfast, and Tamra is busy stirring the pot… or so her hat says. Tamra is trying WAY too hard to get close to Shannon. Gina shares that she is unsure about marrying Travis because of his ex-wife. Travis is trying to get full custody of his children, and the trauma that he is going through as of late is heavy.
At the Dubrow residence, Gretchen is a bit hungover, and the ladies sit around in Heather’s furs watching the hired help make breakfast. Terry pays them a visit as they dine, and Emily asks Gretchen if she ever thinks about marrying Slade. Gretchen would “love” to marry Slade after being with him for 16 years.
The financial situation between them seems a bit… odd… and Heather and Emily attempt to figure it out. Gretchen explains that she makes the mortgage payments, and Heather muses about whether Slade pays for anything. Emily wonders what exactly their arrangement is and what Slade is contributing to the relationship.
Gretchen claims the girls got her in trouble last night, and now today, she denies saying anything about Tamra having an affair with a famous musician. Slade once again got too involved, and now Gretchen is freaking out because she knows that Tamra will find out about this situation.
Gretchen is backpedaling now that she accused Tamra of having an affair, but Gretchen feels like if it was on the internet, it’s no biggie. Emily feels like Tamra and Gretchen are the same person with their tit for tat antics.
As the Temecula girls eat their breakfast, Shannon cries a bit about her home life growing up. She opens up about her parents’ divorce, and Tamra points out that Shannon’s dad had a drinking problem when she was younger.
Shannon does not appreciate Tamra bringing that up on camera, as it was a private conversation spoken in confidence. Gina feels like Tamra is trying to help Shannon, but Shannon and Jenn feel like that was an intentional dig.
Tamra storms off in a very Tamra way. Jenn checks in with Tamra and tries to show her that she can’t expect a boundary-less friendship with Shannon. After an awkward breakfast, it is clear that Shannon and Tamra need to learn how to navigate this. Shannon is now kicking herself for actually coming to the getaway, and it seems like the dos amigas just can’t seem to get back on track.
