Erin Lichy revealed when Sonja Morgan snubbed her in the Hamptons after they “hung out.” The Real Housewives of New York star also shared her mom’s awkward encounter with Ramona Singer, who told her that the reboot is “doing terribly.”
After 13 seasons, the network replaced the entire cast of RHONY with younger stars. Many fans are now calling for the original cast to return, citing the reboot’s poor ratings.
On The Wellness Process podcast, Erin was asked if she’s friendly with any of the original castmates.
“Sonja never remembers who I am,” said Erin. “So let’s put her to the side. Literally, I see her in the Hamptons. I’m like, ‘Hi.’ She’s like, ‘Who are you?'”
“We’ve like hung out [before], so she just doesn’t remember,” she continued. “I don’t know what happens. It’s really interesting.”
Erin then hinted at her interactions with other stars from the franchise.
“Luann is a blast. Dorinda is a blast. Bethenny‘s actually been very nice to me on DM,” said Erin.
The host then asked about Ramona.
“You want to hear something funny?” Erin answered. “She lives in my mom’s building. They ran into each other, and my mom said something to her like, ‘Oh yeah, my daughter’s on the show now.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, I don’t watch that. It’s doing terribly.’ My mom is dying. She’s like, ‘Okay, thanks.'”
In a 2024 interview for Access Hollywood, Erin seemingly shaded the original cast’s season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
“[I watched] a little bit. I thought it was cute,” said Erin, before laughing.
She then addressed a rumor that the new season of RHONY might feature new and former stars.
“I could tell you that [we’re] not like joining forces with (RHONY) Legacy. It’s not happening,” she said. “I don’t think it makes sense, because the other thing is if it’s going to be us and them, it’s going to feel like two separate groups that are like almost battling each other, you know?”
Andy Cohen recently confirmed that the new season of Real Housewives of New York City will include several newbies. Shortly after last season, Brynn Whitfield announced her exit.
