Luann de Lesseps revealed her wish to take back calling Carole Radziwill a “pedophile” on a past season of the Real Housewives of New York, as Dorinda Medley reacted. Meanwhile, Luann also shared there’s been “talk” about the original castmates returning for a reboot.
After season 13, Luann and her RHONY castmates were replaced with younger stars. Amid fans’ hope for the original cast’s return, Luann has been spotted with her former costars – leading some to believe they’re coming back. One of Luann’s ex-castmates is Carole, who she once called a “pedophile” on camera.
On Dorinda’s Reality Checked show on SiriusXM, Luann was asked what statement she’s made on air that she wishes she could take back.
“Maybe when I called Carole a pedophile,” Luann answered. “And then I didn’t know how to spell it.”
“Oh wow,” said Dorinda. “That was – yeah, okay. That’s a take-back … I agree with you there.”
Around the same time, Luann was asked on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show if she thinks the original cast will return to the screen.
“I think so,” said Luann, smiling. “I think there’s a place for the OGs.”
She then revealed there’s “been some talk” about the original stars returning to RHONY for a reboot.
Last month, on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy Cohen revealed that he and Carole reconciled amid their years-long feud.
“She and I, as you know, had a big kind of falling out [years ago]. She asked me never to speak to her again and we went at each other kind of publicly for years,” he said at the time. “And then we made up last year.”
“She and I kind of went at it again after that New York Magazine piece came out, and then she texted me and said, ‘You know, I just kind of realized, you and I could deal with this privately,’” he went on. “She was like, ‘Why do you feel about me this way?’ And I was like, ‘Why do you feel about me this way?’ Anyway, we really kind of came to a very positive place.”
