Bronwyn Newport appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she reflected on her drama with Lisa Barlow and addressed claims of past crimes.
As she also reflected on the drama surrounding her anniversary necklace admission, offered an update on her relationship with Heather Gay, 51, and shared who she’s closest to on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast, Bronwyn, 40, revealed if she had any regrets about her camping trip comments about Lisa, 50, and looked back on her “gout d*ck sucker” diss.
On the September 23 episode of WWHL, after being asked if she was “too hard” on Lisa amid the cast’s camping trip, which Lisa skipped, Bronwyn said, “It’s uncool to talk about someone when they’re not there,” before noting, “She could’ve come.”
“I know if I don’t show up, they’re gonna go for me, so she should be an old pro at this. Be there and control the narrative if you want,” she reasoned.
As for Lisa’s “gout d*ck sucker” insult, Bronwyn said she “had to give her credit.”
“It was creative. Untrue, but it’s creative, so good for her,” she stated.
Although Bronwyn didn’t seem to have any major regrets when it came to her face-off with Lisa on Tuesday’s RHOSLC episode, pointing out that she didn’t insult her personally, but instead “said facts,” she admitted to being “aggressive.”
“I didn’t take a step back, literally or verbally. It’s been a long time. I’ve thought about it … I wish her well. I don’t wish her any ill, but I just wanted her to have a little taste of her own medicine,” she explained.
Then, when Andy Cohen, 57, brought up rumors of identity theft and grand theft auto, Bronwyn confirmed the crimes were brought up during filming.
“It comes up in a few weeks,” she revealed. “It’s not what the women say that it is. It’s a sealed, dismissed case from 10 plus years ago that I can’t super talk about because it’s been sealed by the court. But I do talk about it on the show as far as I can, so you’ll see it when you see it, and you’ll still like me.”
While Todd Bradley, 66, has joined his wife in the Bravo Clubhouse in the past, he didn’t sit in the audience for her latest WWHL episode, choosing to instead stay backstage.
“Can you blame him?” Bronwyn asked.
Looking back on her season five claim that Todd had bought her a $4 million necklace for their anniversary, which she has since admitted wasn’t true, Bronwyn explained, “I do wanna look cool. Who doesn’t?”
According to Bronwyn, Todd didn’t ultimately buy the necklace because he was “not a big fan of how ostentatious [it] looked.”
“That’s not Todd’s style, and I actually did get a very similar necklace, just not from the PR person who worked for that jeweler,” she stated.
Also on the live airing, Bronwyn said that when it comes to her new friendship with Heather, she’s “doing [her] best to stay in Heather’s good graces.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Bronwyn was asked who she was closest to on the RHOSLC cast.
“Does it surprise anybody that I say Mary? Mary and I talk on the phone. We text. We have dinner. [I’m] very supportive of Mary and [her son Robert Cosby Jr.] always,” Bronywn replied.
Even Todd is a fan.
“Todd loves Mary, [and] is very supportive of Robert Jr. and his journey always, [and] has offered multiple times to give advice, to be there as a mentor for him,” Bronwyn revealed, giving a nod to Robert Jr.’s sobriety struggles.
“And then [Angie Katsanevas], [Whitney Rose], Heather, [Britani Bateman] are new in the crew of people I would say are friends, not enemies,” she added.
Bronwyn then teased that fans would see more of her backstory in the coming episodes of RHOSLC, revealing that her mother had filmed.
“I love and respect my mom, but when you see the way that she and I speak to each other, and maybe what we’ve been through, I think … You’ll understand me a lot better when you see the ups and downs of that,” she shared.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
