Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac premiered on Bravo recently. Of course, among the cast members are Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo. While the two celebrated the success of their business in the first episode, reports have now surfaced that they have been charged with fraud.
Wendy joined RHOP in 2020 for the show’s fifth season. Since then, she and Eddie have become staples on the series. They have been married since 2011. The couple has three kids.
According to TMZ, both Wendy and Eddie have been arrested and booked for criminal fraud charges in Maryland.
The court documents state that Wendy is facing 16 charges in total, with seven of them being felonies. Regarding her charges, one of them is for false/misleading information fraud in excess of $300.
Wendy also has one misdemeanor count for making a false statement to an officer. It’s unclear at this time what Eddie is being charged with. The report states that the Real Housewives of Potomac stars were booked in Westminster, Maryland, on the night of October 9.
As fans know, in addition to reality television, Wendy has experience as a college professor. In fact, she continued in this profession while also appearing on The Real Housewives of Potomac. She previously worked at Johns Hopkins University. She was an assistant professor in the Doctor of Education program.
However, she announced that she had resigned in 2024 to devote more of her time to other endeavors. Despite this, she began teaching a new class called The Sociology of Reality TV at Wesleyan University in 2024. Regarding Eddie, he is an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
He launched his cannabis line, Happy Eddie, in 2022. Since then, the line has been featured on the show. As of October 2025, Happy Eddie is sold in five states: Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, Missouri, and New Jersey. Eddie and Wendy have plans to expand to New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
