Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is currently in production. Kelli Ferrell is expected to return to the series for her second season. However, her husband, Chuvalo Mark Ferrell, is making good on his previous promise to sue the network over her characterization of him on the show.

Kelli and Chuvalo filed for divorce in 2022, and it was finalized two years later. Not only has she claimed he is behind on child support, but Kelli also discussed abuse that she allegedly faced during and after their relationship. Notably, she has stated that he even threatened her in court.

Now, TMZ has obtained court documents that state that Chuvalo is suing Bravo. Specifically, he’s going after the network over her claims of abuse, as well as the accusation that he failed to pay her back. Regarding the money, he claims they both took out a $420,000 loan in 2022 to build Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles.

According to the legal documents, he claims the problem is that Kelli spent a large portion of the loan money on her birthday and various unauthorized expenses. She then said on the show that he stole money from her, which he says is false. In fact, Kelli’s ex claims that he has repaid the loan.

Mark also said in the court documents that his name became a subject of other RHOA cast members. He noted that they said, “He’s a criminal, an abuser, and a fraud.”

He claims that the producers knew that the comments were false but continued to air them. According to him, this has caused $100 million worth of damage to his personal and professional reputation. Chuvalo is also requesting $100 million in punitive damages from the network. In total, he’s suing for $200 million.

Of course, this isn’t the only lawsuit Bravo has on its hands, as Todd Nepola, ex-husband of Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola, is suing for $11 million.
