Bravo has released the trailer for season 12 of Married to Medicine and also announced that the show will return on November 30. Many fans were shocked to see that Dr. Heavenly Kimes will only appear as a friend of the show. Now, a resurfaced clip explains why she has a limited role this season. Plus, she and Quad Webb are teasing what viewers can expect.

Dr. Heavenly announced her run for Georgia State Representative in July 2025 with Quad as her campaign manager. Though she has no political experience, she claims to have a profound understanding of what her constituents need from leadership.

Dr. Heavenly appeared on Jamal Bryant‘s podcast earlier in 2025. Luckily, the Win a Case account on X has the clip. As the one-minute and 12-second clip began, Heavenly told Jamal, “I didn’t know on Bravo you ain’t allowed to run for office.”

“We are not allowed to run for office, but hell, I didn’t know it, and ignorance is bliss,” Heavenly continued. From there, she began to discuss the contract negotiations for Married to Medicine season 12, saying, “Initially, it took them eight weeks to get my contract together because they said you can’t do it. You can’t tell me what I can’t do. Then they did it again, the same thing.”

Heavenly added, “It took them eight weeks. We only film 12 weeks.” She then said that Bravo has to get “outside counsel to see if they could cover it [her run for office].”

Jamal then asked if she would remain on Married to Medicine if she wins the state representative race. “That’s a question,” she responded. “When God gave me the plan, I didn’t see the show in it.”

More recently, Heavenly and Quad were on a radio show discussing the new season. Quad started, “You know what, it’s gonna be a great season, but it’s gonna be great in a different way.”

Heavenly chimed in, “Everybody got their personal issues more so than ever. We ‘gon see more things with the household and what Quad’s going through. They know what Quad’s going through, what Heavenly’s going through, what the rest of the ladies are going through, and how we deal with it.”

Quad then shared that much of her storyline this season will revolve around her desire to become a mother. She also stated that viewers will see more of her boyfriend this season.

When asked why she’s so transparent about wanting a child, Quad said, “Well, I have actually been transparent about everything in my life. If I wanted to hide it, the people won’t let me hide it. But I always feel like, too, it’s important to be an example.”

She continued, “You know, you might just be that inspiration that someone could use and say, ‘You know what, if she can do it, then I can do it, too.'”

Heavenly was then asked what fans can expect from her this year. She said, “My season is I found out on Twitter my son got arrested. We went through some things. It’s gon play out on TV.” Heavenly also shared that her son’s arrest was among the reasons she is running for public office.

Married to Medicine returns on November 30.
