After much speculation about its future, it appears production has begun on season two of Next Gen NYC. Gia Giudice is expected to return to the series, and now she’s opening up about her mother patching things up with Joe and Melissa Gorga, and finally moving out of Teresa Giudice‘s house.

Bravo hasn’t officially announced the second season of Next Gen NYC. However, the cast, except Hudson, has been seen filming. One of the first events they filmed seems to have been Ariana’s birthday party.

Gia recently appeared on an episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. One of the first topics she’s discussed was the much-anticipated reunion between her mother, Joe, and Melissa.

When asked what she could say about them potentially reconciling, Gia said, “I don’t know. But you know, I really do hope, yeah, they come to just a happy medium, and I really just hope there is peace for everyone.” She was then asked if she had a good relationship with her cousins.

Gia responded, “Not really. And that’s definitely unfortunate. Because obviously, my mother and father are divorced. And I am extremely close with my dad’s side, so I think that’s where my sisters and I, we know that it’s possible to, even though your parents aren’t best friends or stuff didn’t work out, there’s still a way and room to have a relationship.”

She continued, “But unfortunately, I think the circumstances were a little different just because it got so crazy on Housewives, and it was just a lot. So I don’t blame it on either one of us for, you know, not maintaining a relationship. I think it was difficult.”

Gia added, “It was just, it was a lot. Yeah. So I’m just hoping for peace and just some clarity between both of them. And I just think, I hope we can come back to at least just, you know, peace. Peace and respect.”

From there, they discussed the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Regarding new women joining the show, Gia said, “I think it’ll be good. I think it’s fun to get new energy. Because sometimes you can’t always have, I think it’s not smart to fully X out the cast completely.”

She continued, “I think they kind of learned that with New York, and even though they were all stunning, I mean, I thought, like- they were drop dead gorgeous.”

They then discussed how changing the full cast was too much for the fans to process. Gia said, “Yeah. Well, when you have such a legendary New York cast with like Luann and Sonja and Ramona and just so many people that were like really iconic to like the Bravo world.”

The Next Gen NYC star went on, “It’s hard to bring a whole, like a whole new start in. So I think you need some old ones that like keep the roots. And then you need some new faces to kind of just like mix up the energy. It’s a good thing. I mean, no matter what on any show, you kind of see new people get added in kind of every season anyway.”

They continued discussing RHONJ with Gia saying that the twins, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, were some of her favorite short-lived cast members. She also said she wished Dina Manzo had been on the show for longer.

During the interview, they also discussed Gia’s viral interview with Blac Chyna, in which she attempted to ask her about the Kardashians, but she refused to talk about them. Gia reflected on it, saying, “ I knew that that was gonna be a possibility. But I also like handled it with like, I felt like with grace, like I was so respectful.”

She added, “So I I knew that there was gonna be a possibility that she wasn’t gonna wanna talk about it, and I totally respected that. So the second she turned down I was like, ‘No problem.'”

When asked her favorite part of the interview, Gia said, “She honestly was just so sweet. She really seemed so down-to-earth. And I feel like she is. The way she talked about her kids, too, and the way she parents, and how in touch she is with God, and her whole sobriety journey. She really has made a tremendous change in her life, and I think it really shows.  She’s so beautiful, too.”

Gia was also recently a guest on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show. While on the show, she was asked for an update on moving out of her mother’s house. Gia said she’s “Moving out in two weeks.”

When asked how she feels about the change, she revealed, ” I am really excited, and listen,  I love home. I love home. But, I really am again, and I think you can kind of see this on Special Forces, and it’s, you know, it’s funny because I think after even doing Special Forces and just kind of going through the different changes in life and growing after Special Forces, I knew I was ready.”

She then said, “I knew I was ready. And, you know, same thing with me moving out on my own, it’s kind of just giving me that security of, ‘Okay, this is my space, and Okay, they’re not gonna, I’m not gonna be at their beck and call all the time because I’m not gonna be home.’ And not even in a selfish way, it’s just, I’m excited to have this time for me. And yeah, moving to Jersey City in two weeks.”

Page Six Radio on SiriusXM’s Stars (ch.109) airs daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 am ET, and The Julia Cunningham Show airs on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy (ch. 102).
