Carole Radziwill and Luann de Lesseps addressed reuniting for the first time with Andy Cohen since 2018, as the ex-co-stars revealed the reason for their past feud. Meanwhile, Carole spoke to rumors she’s returning to Real Housewives of New York.
Before Carole left the show after season 10, she often feuded with Luann. Before that season, Carole was close with Bethenny Frankel, who has continually been at odds with Luann. Throughout the years, Carole has suggested that the show chose Bethenny’s side in their season 10 battle.
“[Luann and I] haven’t sat on a couch together since 2018,” said Carole on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “Like a reunion couch … with Andy.”
“What is this moment like?” asked Andy, who took a photo. “People will have to believe this to see it. It’s epic … By the way, sitting here with the two of you, I can’t even remember what your drama was even about.”
Luann answered, “It was really kind of around Bethenny at the time.”
“Yeah,” Carole agreed.
“She’s just evil,” said Luann.
“Yeah, she created a lot of tension,” shared Carole. “But it was good for the show for a time, and then it wasn’t.”
“Then it wasn’t,” Luann agreed. “You know, there’s a certain darkness about … the show that can, you know, change the flavor.”
Carole then recalled what it was like at the beginning.
“I remember laughing so much in the beginning. We were like season five, six, seven, eight. I mean, I just thought it was [so fun]. I thought you guys were so funny.”
On the Take Me Off Speaker podcast, Carole was asked if she would ever return to RHONY.
“I mean, I’m so out of that world. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be on it again, to be honest,” she said. “I can just speak for myself. No one has called me and I … can’t imagine doing it.”
The host brought up rumors that Carole has been in the press recently because she’s preparing to return to the show.
“I did a documentary … for CNN about John Kennedy and George Magazine,” she explained. “I agreed to do some press. One of the things they wanted me to do was Watch What Happens Live.”
“So there was no connection to Housewives for that?” asked the host.
“No, to be honest, I thought there was no Housewives. And then after I did that, I did get a lot of messages about, ‘Oh my god, this means you’re coming back to RHONY!’ And I was like, ‘Well, but RHONY doesn’t even exist anymore.'”
