Season nine of Selling Sunset premiered on Netflix on October 29, and it already has fans talking. As has been teased for several months, the new season includes a massive verbal altercation between Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause. Following this, Nicole’s role on the series was diminished over a shocking comment she made about Chrishell’s parents.
Before the premiere of Selling Sunset season nine, Nicole took to social media to reveal that while she was invited to the reunion, she was only on stage for a short while. She also insisted that she will tell her side of the story when she’s able to.
The new season of Selling Sunset finds Nicole and Chrishell coming to verbal blows during Amanza Smith‘s Friendsgiving dinner. Notably, they’re arguing over allegations Nicole made last season that castmate Emma Hernan was having an affair with a married man.
Nicole said in the scene, “It has nothing to do with Chrishell, I don’t even know why she’s getting involved.”
This led Chrishell to say, “Why I’m getting involved? You literally are the one that started all of this.”
As the argument was about Emma, she chimed in and said, “What Nicole did to me was the worst thing that you could do to another woman.”
From there, Amanza said to Nicole, “You did do something f–ked up. It should have never escaped your lips… This is my dinner. Shut the f–k up…. I love you, but you f–ked up.”
Nicole responded, “I love you, but absolutely not…. Where was your energy when it was with me?”
“You wanna go backwards?” Amanza said. “Let me. Okay. You guys were f–ked up to her. It was f–ked up. ‘You’re on drugs. You’re this.’ It was f–ked up. Period.”
This led Chrishell to question, “Even if it was true?”
This is when the point of no return happened during the episode, as Nicole brought up Chrishell’s dead parents. In the past, Chrishell has discussed her parents’ battles with addiction.
Nicole told Chrishell, “Honey, you’re confusing me with your parents, okay? You seem to be obsessed with drugs.” After an audible gasp by the cast, Nicole was asked to leave the dinner by Emma and Amanza.
“Get out! Get out right now. Nicole, get out!” yelled Emma, as Amanza added, “You need to f–king leave… Nicole, remove yourself right now. Get the f–k out.”
Chrishell then alleged, “You’re a sick person. You OD’d on cocaine.” Of course, Nicole denied this. However, Amanza doubled down on Nicole needing to leave the party, stating, “Remove yourself right now. That is f–king below the belt… Her parents are dead. Are you f–king serious?”
Nicole then attempted to defend herself, saying, “[Chrishell] talked about her parents being drug addicts. You talked about your parents doing drugs.”
This then led to Amanza dropping a bombshell when she claimed that she and Nicole used to do drugs together back in the day.
Regarding the drug use, Amanza stated, “It’s L.A. Everybody’s done cocaine…” She then said to the cameras, “She’s so hoity toity like she used to blow. I’ve done it with her. I’ll f–king say it. I’ve done it with her. She f–king did blow… We were young and we did it.”
The following episode featured the Oppenheims dismissing Nicole from her position with the firm.
