Emily Simpson’s Wife Swap partner Caley Svensson addressed her shocking connection to castmates Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga, shared details behind their past feud, and hinted at when things “exploded.”
Back in 2020, Joe (from Real Housewives of New Jersey) posted before-and-after pics of a house he allegedly flipped. Caley then claimed that Joe falsely used a picture of her home as the ‘after’ pic, as she explained that her house wasn’t a flip at all. According to a report, Caley contacted her builder’s lawyer and considered legal action after Joe allegedly didn’t respond to her request to remove the photo.
“Yes, the Gorgas and I had a little small thing a couple years ago about my old house,” said Caley in a November 7 TikTok, via @tasteof_reality on Instagram. “He claimed to have built my house and flipped it, and he used my home picture on his Instagram, when, in fact, he did not build it or flip it, and it was actually the wrong address. It was kind of, like, a little scamish. And I simply just asked him to take it down, and he didn’t, and that was when it kind of exploded.”
Caley said people “caught onto it.”
“We don’t communicate at all. And eventually the picture was taken down, and he admitted that the house that he claimed to have flipped was obviously not mine,” she continued. “And it went away. Ironically, which I find so funny — I did grow up in Franklin Lakes. I lived in Franklin Lakes for over 20 years. I worked at the Market Basket and grew up there. So, yes, I’m very familiar with the area they live in and where they are … [But] I live about 20 minutes away from them now in a different part of Bergen County.”
Caley — who spent time with Emily’s husband, Shane Simpson, and his family on Wife Swap — hinted at what wasn’t shown.
“I do need to be more physically affectionate. And Shane’s parents actually gave us amazing advice, which I wish they put in,” she explained. “[They said] if [he] want[s] to have me be more physically affectionate to [him], pick up a dish towel and help me dry the dishes, and then we’ll snuggle on the couch together. And [his mother] said that’s what’s always worked for her relationship. And I love that advice, and I think we’ve really been trying to do that more.”
