Season seven of The Kardashians is currently airing on Hulu, sparking lively conversations regarding the family. This time, fans are debating whether or not Travis Barker is controlling in his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. The topic is especially fresh following examples from one of the recent episodes of the show.
Kourtney and Travis began dating near the end of 2020 and went public with their relationship in early 2021. They then married in May 2022, following a non-legal ceremony in April of that year. They share one child, but their blended family consists of seven.
A TikTok user named Hello Kitttea recently took to the platform to discuss the dynamic between Kourtney and Travis as seen in a recent episode. She said, “I just finished the newest episode of The Kardashians, and I wanted to talk about this scene right here with Kourtney and Travis.”
She then explained that they were in New Orleans because Travis had a Blink-182 performance. Since they’d be in the city for the full day, he was hosting a Run Travis, Run event, which was held to raise money for victims of the California wildfires.
From there, she said, “Ever since season seven started showing, I’ve been seeing a lot of people on TikTok kind of talk about and analyze Kourtney and Travis’s relationship and imply that Travis might be a little more controlling than we might think.”
She then discussed the scene. The TikTok creator explained that Kourtney told Travis that she wasn’t going to participate in the run. The person then highlighted that Kourtney clearly didn’t appear up to the task of running a 5K. However, Travis insisted that she could go out and run as she had been recently running intervals.
She continued, “And Travis basically was like, ‘No, you guys, she’s trying to cop out.’ Then he leaves the bus, and he’s like, ‘Okay, I’ll see you out there,’ kind of putting an end to it and not really giving Kourtney a choice.”
The social media personality went on to mention Kourtney’s confessional in which a producer asked her about the race, and she reaffirmed that she didn’t want to run and that she was “really tired.”

Regarding the run itself, Travis could be seen holding Kourtney’s hand, essentially forcing her to run at his pace despite her not wanting to participate in the first place. During the race, she could be heard saying she believed she was about to pass out.
As with most runs, there’s a water station along the 5K route. Kourtney and Travis stopped for water, and she told him, “If you let me drink this water, I’ll keep running with you,” as it appeared he planned to resume running before she had a chance to hydrate. Kourtney also mentioned having to keep up with his pace in a later confession.
