Monique Samuels made her long-awaited return to The Real Housewives of Potomac as a friend of the show for season 10. Now, she’s opening up about a leaked video of herself, and she’s blaming her ex, Chris Samuels, for leaking it.
Monique and Chris joined RHOP during its second season in 2017. They remained on the show until 2020 and later joined OWN’s Love & Marriage DC. However, they left the series after a single season and filed for divorce in 2023 after having gotten married in 2012. They have three kids together.
Monique recently interviewed with Angela Yee. During their conversation, she discussed her friendship with Jason Weems, with whom she co-hosted her radio show. Monique told Angela that she and Jason were “great friends” and that they “never spent any time outside the studio.” She also said that he gave her advice during her divorce from Chris and that they began to have “an amazing friendship outside of work.”
The RHOP star went on to say that their friendship “turned very emotionally connected.” She then said it “turned romantic.” Monique added, “And the reason this video is out there right now is because my ex-husband actually leaked it.”
She went on, “Like legit, he has been showing this video to everybody, and the biggest question is how did he get it.” Monique added that Chris received the video from a “former friend” of hers.
The Neighboorhood Talk post also includes the video in question. In it, Monique and Jason seem to be on a hiking trail. He’s directly behind her, kissing her neck as she laughs. There’s also a video of the two of them in a vehicle, with her driving while he sleeps in the passenger seat. This seems to be before or after the hiking trail, as they’re wearing the same clothing.
