Molly O’Connell explained why things between her and Shep Rose didn’t work out while attending BravoCon last month.
As her Southern Charm castmate, Venita Aspen, 32, addressed her feud with Craig Conover, 36, and spoke of Jarrett “JT” Thomas‘ move out of the country, Molly, 37, reflected on her short-lived romance with Shep, 45, hinted at a season 11 outburst, and explained why she was credited as “Sarah” on Southern Hospitality.
“This season is extremely eventful, so I’m a little stressed out to watch it back. It’s gonna be a dramatic one,” Molly began during an interview with Entertainment Tonight shared on November 30.
As for why she and Shep didn’t make it as a couple, Molly said they were “better as friends.”
“I think like, on paper, all of it makes sense, but it’s Shep at the end of the day,” she reasoned. “I love Shep. He’s so much fun. We had a fun time — a good time, not a long time.”
Regarding what fans will see from her on season 11, Molly teased a blow-up.
“I think if you knew me in my 20s, you know that I can pop off and get a little crazy, but I think a lot of people haven’t seen that from me, so I think maybe some anger comes out, and I might surprise people,” she warned.
Then, asked about being called “Sarah” on Southern hospitality, Molly explained the mix-up.
“She was another hostess that worked there when I worked there for like a month and a half, and I honestly, like, I had braces. I didn’t really talk much, and my mouth was closed the whole time, so no one really knew who I was, and they were like, ‘Oh, this is just some girl named Sarah,'” she revealed.
Meanwhile, also speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Venita joked that when it came to her season 10 love interest, JT, “We’ve already [forgotten] him,” and said his recent move to Bali didn’t surprise her.
“That checks,” she noted.
Moving on to her drama with Craig, who disassociated himself from her after she took Paige DeSorbo‘s side in their 2024 split, Venita said that her allegiance to Paige, 33, caused a divide.
“That definitely put us on the outs for sure, and you guys kind of get to see that season,” she stated.
As for her season 11 storyline, Venita said fans would be seeing more of her personal life.
“This season’s gonna be the first that you guys kind of see me go through ups and downs in friendships that aren’t expected to go up and down, and exploring that was difficult, and I think it’s gonna be interesting for the viewer to see that side of me,” she shared.
Southern Charm season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
