Kyle Cooke addressed his wife Amanda Batula’s claim that he slept at a fan’s apartment and didn’t come home till 6:30 a.m. amid rumors that their marriage is on the rocks.
In a preview for Summer House season 10, Amanda shared that Kyle “came home at like, 6:30 in the morning” after falling asleep at the apartment of a fan. She also hinted at her issues with his DJ career, given that she wanted him to stop partying as much.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Kyle addressed Amanda’s claim in the trailer.
“There’s no excuse for staying out as late as I did, but I want to be clear that I did not sleep at a fan’s apartment,” said Kyle. “I was at an event that Amanda chose not to attend, which moved to a bar and then to an after-party.”
“I don’t use anything to keep myself wired, so I think I ended up falling asleep on a couch, and suddenly it was almost 6 a.m.,” he added. “Do I regret the situation? Absolutely. But that’s the truth and full extent of what happened.”
Last month on Housewives Nightcap, Kyle addressed the rumor that he and Amanda had separated.
“We’re very much still together. I think we’ve always made an effort to put it all out there. Our apartment still has Amanda’s stuff all over it, which is a big storyline in season 10,” he said at the time. “It’s kinda unfortunate that whatever rumor comes out right before all of this. It’s a little bit of a cloud, but we are not perfect.”
“We’ve never tried to portray a perfect couple. We wear it all on our sleeve,” he went on. “Yeah, 10 years in and four years into marriage, all on camera, it hasn’t been easy particularly when you have people offering up some trolling.”
Before that interview, a TikToker noticed that Amanda wasn’t wearing a wedding ring at a recent event.
“Finally the rumors are coming out that Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are apparently no longer living together and are on the brink of separation. I’ve been noticing this. I was shocked that no one else was talking about this,” wrote fan account Sociallykels, showing a photo of Amanda without the ring. “Jesse Solomon posted this video weeks ago of him and Amanda, and she’s not wearing a ring. I clocked it immediately and was like are we not going to talk about it? But I guess now we’re talking about it.”
