Production on season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reportedly wrapped in November 2025. Now, ahead of a trailer and premiere date announcement, a new report says cast members Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton nearly came to blows during a trip.
In addition to Porsha, 44, and Shamea, 43, RHOA season 17 is expected to star Drew Sidora, 40, Phaedra Parks, 52, Angela Oakley, 44, and Kelli Ferrell, 40. Cynthia Bailey, 58, will also return as an official friend of the show. Also rumored to be joining are singer K. Michelle, 43, and restaurateur Pinky Cole, 38.
The Neighborhood Talk exclusively reported on December 28 that the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast trip to Scotland took a dark turn. Per the report, this resulted from an argument between longtime friends-turned-rivals Porsha and Shamea that nearly became violent.
The report, which comes directly from the CEO of The Neigborhood Talk, Kyle Anfernee, starts, “Neighbors, y’all know I keep my ears out in these streets, and the tea is brewing down in the A with our southern belle peaches…specifically with Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton.”
The social media post then detailed the fallout that happened between Porsha and Shamea during season 16 of RHOA before saying, “Viewers can expect to see the continuation of the fallout on this upcoming season…with things escalating to the point that hands were almost thrown. 👀☕️”
It continued, “My source down in the A told me that during their cast trip in Scotland, Porsha and Shamea got into a heated, nasty ole’ argument, and it got to the point where the two almost put the paws on each other…but Drew Sidora stepped in the middle before laces went flying ‘Baddies’ style.’ Chile, where is Season 17 trailer at because this drop of tea has me ready 👀🍿”
In addition to the report, Shamea gave an update on where she stands with Porsha during BravoCon 2025. While speaking to Access Hollywood, she said, “We’re still just going around the mulberry bush.” The interviewer then asked if it was safe to say they weren’t in a good place.

Shamea replied, “Is there even a place? What’s happening? We’re kinda like the same.” Regarding whether she wanted to squash the beef with Porsha at BravoCon, she said, “I just want the best for Porsha. That’s it. I wish her well, may God bless her, her family, friends, [and] loved ones.”
Finally, the interviewer asked, “So the friendship has sailed.” Shamea said, “Some say sunken, some say sailed. I don’t know. It depends on how you look at it.”
Porsha also spoke to the outlet on the red carpet at BravoCon. When asked about Shamea and told what her co-star had said, she stated, “I enjoyed all the girls on the show. I had a great time. I really did.” The interviewer then said, “Including Shamea?”

Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to premiere on Bravo in early 2025.
