Katie Rost revealed that she went to rehab after having a seizure on MDMA. Meanwhile, her husband asked fans not to share the footage of it, as the Real Housewives of Potomac star wrote a series of cryptic posts.
In July 2025, Katie announced that she had married the “love of my life.” As of now, the couple is keeping his name private. Katie is one of the original castmates of RHOP, though she hasn’t appeared on the show since 2022.
On January 3, Katie gave an update on her sobriety journey.
“My husband is driving me up to rehab and we are laughing,” wrote Katie in a cryptic post on Instagram. “I do it … no phone for 1 month.”
But Katie then explained that the rehab would be three days.
“Guys I’m doing this for 3 days (‘rapid detox’),” she said. “The staff are laughing cause I’m bammered and they are technically wearing scrubs, I’m funny … and my husband is with me, I’m playing this for the staff. Cause I’m drunk.”
“No one likes checking in. But yessssssssss! I’m here. I’m not scared. And thank you to everyone who got me here. They promise me, nothing but LOVE,” she went on. “My goal 🥅 is to do this so that I can see my mother. She said she will let me see her if I’m sober. So I have to do it … I always go out with a BANG❗️… 3 days let’s go … I’m lucky I’m rich.”
In another post, Katie’s husband seemed to post from her account.
“I can’t answer for her. I’m upset,” said the post, via thatgrapejuice.net. “She is okay. Gets out of detox soon. She took MDMA and started having a seizure. She had already planned to go in, but that happened and the people who have footage, please don’t share it. Like she would say #respect.”
On January 5, Katie seemed to have her phone again.
“Guys I’ve been doing drugs since I was 12,” she wrote on Instagram. “So when I come out of lockup, I talk s**t. But I LOVE everyone and thanks for sending me blunts.”
