Angel Massie addressed Dr. Wendy Osefo’s “miserable situation” amid her criminal charges, shaded “messy” Gizelle Bryant, and shared more details behind her drama with Ashley Darby on Real Housewives of Potomac.
In October, Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested and charged with insurance fraud, as the couple was accused of faking their own home burglary. Angel has feuded with Wendy throughout the new season, which was filmed before their arrest. Wendy, Ashley, and Gizelle seemingly turned on Angel when the newbie shared that she was moving to Colorado. It was insinuated that Angel left because she was evicted.
On Virtual Reali-Tea, Angel was asked about Wendy.
“I am not one to revel in someone’s misery. And let’s be clear, this is a miserable situation,” she said. “It would be for anybody. But I have not reached out to her. We do not have that relationship. And I feel justified and vindicated in that, in that now I’m seeing the whole show.”
“She has liked to take this storyline and narrative that I think about her a lot, and I talk about her a lot,” she continued. “At the top of the season, she said, ‘No, I don’t know her.’ But back in 2015, when my mom passed away, she was DMing me about her father, her stepfather passing away, and how we had those commonalities. So do you know me or do you not know me? I don’t feel offended [by either]. Let’s just tell the truth.”
Angel was then asked why she thinks Wendy pretended not to know her.
“I think that sometimes women who are narcissistic think that saying they don’t know someone gives them some type of hierarchical power,” she answered. “It’s just a way to punch down … ‘I don’t know her, I don’t know her.’ But you know, she does. … I was taken aback.”
At one point, she shared her “superlatives” for the cast.
She called Gizelle “messy,” Ashley “uncouth,” Wendy “fake elitist,” Stacey Rusch “quirky and kind,” Monique Samuels “grounded,” Tia Glover “funny,” and Keiarna Stewart “wonderful.”
Later on, Angel reacted to Ashley’s recent “BS.”
“I shot and hung out with Ashley a lot on camera and got to know her over the season, and she never had anything negative to say to me about me,” said Angel. “And so seeing her back this past weekend, talking all the BS, it was really shocking, and I think that I didn’t realize that she was this person until the whole Potomac and Ponies thing. And so you see me sitting there kind of smiling like, girl, are you kidding me? I just text you. We just talked. Like, it came out of nowhere. I think that she’s fighting for her spot. I think that she thinks that I’m an easy target because I was kind to her.”
According to Angel, she gave a pink and black tool set to Ashley before the pride float as a gift so they could build their relationship.
“So you can understand from my perspective when something like this comes out of left field — and it’s a lie on top of it all — you know how hurtful it actually can be,” she said.
