Janet Caperna slammed Jill Zarin as a racist after the Real Housewives of New York City alum went on a social media rant about the Super Bowl Halftime show, complaining that there were “no white people” and shading Bad Bunny‘s performance as a “political statement.”
As Real Housewives of Dubai‘s Chanel Ayan, 47, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 49, weighed in on Jill’s comments, the 36-year-old cast member of The Valley lashed out.
In her social media video, Jill, 62, had begun by calling the Super Bowl Halftime show “the worst halftime show ever.”
“It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish,” she alleged. “And quite frankly, I didn’t need to see him grabbing his G area. I think it was totally inappropriate. You’ve got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds.”
Jill then targeted Bad Bunny’s Spanish lyrics.
“I didn’t understand him. I don’t speak Spanish. I would’ve liked to have known the words he was saying. To me, it looked like it was a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I think it was a political statement, and I’m not taking one side or the other. I just do. I think it was an ICE thing, and I just think that the NFL sold out, and it’s very sad because this is 75 years, and, you know, shame. Shame.”
Also in her rant, Jill took aim at Lady Gaga, 39, alleging that she’d undergone a facelift.
“I didn’t recognize her. I literally had to Google her face to see who it was. We all couldn’t agree who it was so that was kind of fun in the middle of halftime. At least it gave me something to do because it was so hard to watch,” she concluded.

Following the sharing of the video, Janet didn’t mince words when it came to her reaction.
“Tell me you’re a racist without telling me you’re racist…YIKES!!!” she declared.

In her own comment, Chanel said she was “seriously disgusted” by Jill’s video.

And Boz added, “‘I’m not taking a side.’ Yet very clearly taking a side. Please … I, on the other hand, LOVED Benito Bowl… for its beauty, culture, history and message!”

Some commenters also noted that the halftime show included appearances by Lady Gaga and Alix Earle.
Jill Zarin is set to star in E!’s The Golden Life.
