Per a report, castmates on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City must sign a new “mega-clause” that is “non-negotiable” for season seven, and any violation could result in their “firing,” as production “isn’t f**king around.”
Last season, Lisa Barlow was accused of leaking info to content creators. Lisa, however, has adamantly denied the allegations. At the reunion, Angie Katsanevas claimed that a social media account (that is allegedly linked to Lisa’s phone number) has been ‘trolling’ her for two years.
According to a source speaking to @therealhousewiveszone on Instagram, a new development for RHOSLC contracts is afoot.
“Renewal letters have gone out to the RHOSLC ladies for Season 7 and they include a new mega-clause which is non-negotiable for all new and renewing cast,” said the source. “It’s called the Narrative Integrity Clause.”
“Basically, the cast are not allowed to create, influence, or leak storylines about the show or other cast members off-camera. This includes using third parties as a proxy,” the source continued. “Any on-camera discussions about unverified activity will be cut from the final edit, and any verified activity is punishable on a scale that includes financial penalties, loss of screen time, demotion, and firing.”
According to the source, production “isn’t f**king around.”
“They’re tired of grasping at straws with this bunch and know they need to regain control,” the source added. “The clause has had a mixed reception amongst the cast, two of them are holding out on renewing hoping it will push production to cave (they won’t, and they’ve got a shortlist of potential new HWs to backfill spots if needed).”
Last month, former Bravo producer Carlos King addressed Heather Gay‘s comments concerning her past black eye. At one point, Heather suggested that production could’ve done it, though she later said Jen Shah was to blame.
“Heather Gay is the most dangerous housewife that’s on television,” said Carlos on Reality with The King. “When she said production could have given her the black eye, I’ve always said that was the day I said, ‘There’s nothing I have for you anymore.’”
“As a producer, as somebody who grew up in this business from PA to where I am now, we, production, we’re sacrificing our livelihood, leaving our families to go to a state that we don’t live in,” he added. “So when she made that comment, I said, ‘Oh, I know who you are,’ and she has proven every season that I’m right.”
