Lisa Vanderpump reflected on when she “threw Kyle out” amid the end of their friendship, and she addressed whether she would return to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The star also shared if she’s still in contact with castmates, as she shaded Lisa Rinna.
In season nine, co-stars accused Vanderpump of leaking a negative story about her good friend Dorit Kemsley to the press. Though Kyle Richards continually defended her, she eventually went to Lisa’s house and suggested that she believed them. Vanderpump then threw her out as her husband shouted, “Goodbye, Kyle!” This officially ended their friendship.
Speaking to ET, Lisa went to the spot where Kyle committed the metaphorical “crime of accusing me.”
“Should I show you the place where I threw Kyle out?” said Lisa to journalist Brice Sander, and she then took him to the kitchen. “It was right there. But I actually changed the kitchen after she left.” Lisa then playfully quoted her husband’s farewell, “Goodbye, Kyle!”
The star claimed she renovated the kitchen to get the bad energy out.
“But, God, that was then and this is now. And it’s kind of moved on,” she said. “People keep saying, are you ever going to go back to Housewives? And I’m like, that was so many years ago. And between everything I do, I mean, everything I do is a passion project, and I can’t really say that about Housewives.”
She was then asked how she feels about Erika Jayne surpassing her in years on the show.
“Well, maybe [she surpassed me in] that, yeah, but not surpassed me [in another] thing,” she answered, assumingly referring to her marriage. “Well, good luck to her. I would say people need an award for tenacity and commitment to the cause.”
In an interview for Extra, Lisa addressed which castmates she keeps in touch with.
“None of them,” she said. “Well, Garcelle [Beauvais]. Garcelle and I are close. She’s very supportive of me and vice versa. Love her dearly. But ironically, she’s the only one that’s walked away as well. So we have that in common. But the others … not so much.”
As for whether she would join The Traitors, Lisa said she’s “busy.”
“I mean, I’ve just opened another restaurant, like, a few weeks ago in Arizona,” she said. “I’m doing my projects in Vegas, and I have two shows on the air.”
She later called out how Rinna “[got] the hoof” and was sent home on the latest season.
“She got messy,” said the host.
Vanderpump responded, “Oh, that’s unlike her — said no one ever.”
