Throughout the latest season, Gizelle criticized newbie Angel Massie and sophomore star Stacey Rusch, who took heat in many episodes. In the past, fans have suggested that Gizelle is protected in the editing room and that she’s allowed to skate by regarding her personal life, unlike her co-stars.
In the final reunion episode, Gizelle didn’t receive a video package or solo segment. She therefore decided to give her own “synopsis” of what’s going on in her life. At one point, Andy Cohen seemingly looked bored as Gizelle shared how she’s “dating a lot.” Later on, she pivoted to saying she’ll “do better” at embracing the “different dynamics” of the group.
After the reunion, fans reacted to Gizelle not getting a package.
“Gizelle being surprised she wasn’t given a package after one of her worst-performing seasons,” said one fan, via @thebravoshaderoom on Instagram. “The network is sending you a message; you’re in danger, girl.”
“Girl you didn’t have a story for a package,” wrote another.
“Gizelle knew she wasn’t getting a package because she spent the entire reunion inserting herself in everyone’s story,” said a third. “She did it with Tia’s segment on her father, with Ashley [Darby] ‘dating’ a politician and then she gave a summary at the end. 🍅”
“I loved every moment of this 😂. I think this reminded her that she may be a 10 year OG, but she’s not bigger than the program,” wrote a fourth. “Gotta bring more than hazing mean girl energy, boo.”
“Because her storyline was so centered on being mean to Angel and Stacey,” expressed a fifth. “Hell Angel even got a package lol.”
“I think Bravo is a bit fed up with these housewives who are not transparent about their personal lives,” said another. “The fake relationships, the lies about breaking up with their significant others … hiding life events and only including it on paywalls (Robyn [Dixon]).”
“The so-called face of Potomac hasn’t shown any of her life in years,” wrote a different fan. “[She] gave nothing for so long [and] now she doesn’t even have a package. @bravotv and @bravoandy and production [have] been letting her get away with just coming on tv and lying and then leaving for years.”
“And had the audacity to continuously mention that she’s dating,” said another user. “We saw NONE of that this season.”
