Bravo has just confirmed Reality Blurb’s exclusive report that Robyn Dixon will be returning to the Real Housewives of Potomac for season 11.
Moments ago, the network revealed the RHOP season 11 cast will include Robyn and six cast members from last season — Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby, Tia Glover, and Stacey Rusch.
“We are so back. #RHOP,” wrote Bravo on April 10 as the network also confirmed all of the ladies, minus Robyn, will be returning as full-time cast members.
This also confirms Reality Blurb’s earlier exclusive that Keiarna Stewart and Angel Massie will not be returning.
As for Monique Samuels and Jassi Rideaux, their names were not included in the announcement which all but confirms their exits from the series.
When it comes to Robyn, an insider told us she changed her tune on coming back to the show after refusing to film last year. If you recall, Robyn did not attend an event Gizelle hosted for their ‘Reasonably Shady‘ podcast.
She “needed the money” and thus ultimately “swallowed her pride” and took the Bravo bait,” shared the source.
“Robyn is real and always has been,” they added. “But a friend of role makes more sense for her at this point in time. It was clear in the past she didn’t like a microscope being put on her relationship with her husband, Juan Dixon, and if she’s in a ‘friend of’ role, this is not something that will be focused on.”
“Juan also didn’t like being dissected on TV and being involved in the show, and by Robyn being a friend, he won’t have to play a part in it.”
“Robyn will definitely get extensive camera time if she has something that production decides they want to focus on,” the insider added. “However, as things stand now, she will be back in a ‘friend of’ role. She still has many fans and supporters, as well as authentic relationships with some of the cast members, so she will be a seamless fit to return.”
As we reported, the RHOP started filming season 11 on April 7 with Ashley and Karen filming the first scene of the season.
“Karen and Ashley sat down at a restaurant called The Grove in Potomac,” the source shared. “And, while there, they filmed a scene for season 11.”
For the time being, Bravo has yet to announce when the new season will air.
