Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently filming its seventh season.

An insider exclusively spoke to Reality Blurb to confirm some drama that has gone down during taping.

According to a source, “‘Friend of’ the Housewives Britani Bateman was encouraged to start up with full-time cast member Bronwyn Newport.”

“Production wanted Britani to go after Bronwyn,” they elaborated. “And she did.”

The drama surrounding the pair occurred “weeks ago,” according to the insider; however, they were not able to provide details on what it was that Britani went after Bronwyn over.

Aside from the drama between them, fans are in for an emotional season, as star Mary Cosby‘s son, Robert Cosby Jr., passed away in February.

Following the news of Robert Jr.’s death, Mary released a heartbreaking statement on Instagram.

“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord,” she said at the time. “Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”

She captioned her post with the hashtags, “#Godfirst #love #❤️.”

While Robert Jr. had struggled with substance abuse issues for some time, when the season six reunion aired, he was incarcerated.

Mary admitted this was a bit of a relief, sharing she knew he was somewhere he “wasn’t using” drugs.

“At some point, I have to step back so that he can learn and he can make his own decisions, and unfortunately, he’s learning the hard way,” she explained at the time. “But I’m OK with it.”

“It’s just, you don’t want to see your kid suffer, but I know it’s good,” she elaborated. “And I’d rather him be there than dead, you know?”

Aside from Mary’s devastating situation, fans will also see Bronwyn dealing with the fallout of her separation from her husband, Todd Bradley, which she discussed on the reunion.

“After thoughtful consideration, Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley have separated,” a rep confirmed to PEOPLE in a December 12 statement. “This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They ask for privacy during this time.”

While Bronwyn has moved on and is dating boyfriend Brandon Good, she talked with Kelly Ripa about her future with Todd. She shared she’d love for them to “be together,” but she currently needs “space.”

“Todd and I are tricky. We’ve been together for a long time,” Bronwyn stated on the February 11 episode of SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa podcast, via Us Weekly. “I do really love Todd.”

“ Todd and I are separated, and it’s very difficult because our lives are so intertwined and so intermeshed after all this time together,” she said later on the episode. “And I hear him saying to me, since I’ve asked for that separation, that he wants to understand and he wants to do different[ly] and he wants to make it right, and there is a huge part of me that wants that for him.”

“I do want us to be together,” she added. “I’d love to just smooth it over and move forward. There’s also a part of me that feels like some things you shouldn’t have to explain, some things you shouldn’t have to ask for. Some things should be, like, innately understood in such a close relationship.”

She also shared she’s being “very difficult” for Todd as she doesn’t know what she wants “next.”

“I think I just want some space and some time to think about it … He would like to go back to how close and happy we were, and he’s willing to make some changes to get there … But I feel like as a 40-year-old woman, that I don’t wanna have to tell someone how to fix things with me,” she concluded.
