Prosecutors will not be filing more criminal charges against Taylor Frankie Paul amid investigations into alleged domestic assault. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shared her reaction, as fans now call for ABC to air her season of The Bachelorette. Taylor’s co-star, Jessi Draper, also shared her support.
Earlier this year, fans learned that Taylor was facing two police investigations amid accusations she committed domestic assault concerning February incidents with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. SLOMW paused filming as the cast members felt uncomfortable knowing there were active cases.
ABC later canceled her season of The Bachelorette after a video surfaced of her throwing stools at Dakota in 2023. Allegedly, one of the stools inadvertently hit her child. At the time, Dakota was arrested and charged with assault. Though this happened three years ago, she’s still on probation, and many fans feared that the current investigations could result in a probation violation.
According to TMZ, prosecutors declared on April 14 that they would not be filing criminal charges against Taylor.
Leading up to the announcement, Taylor was being investigated by two separate police departments, though the District Attorney’s Office of Salt Lake County said there wasn’t enough evidence to file charges. They indicated that proving she committed crimes beyond a reasonable doubt would be difficult.
The prosecutors also shared that they won’t be pursuing probation violations.
After the news broke, Taylor shared her reaction on Instagram.
“[I] cried when I got the call,” wrote Taylor over a picture of a butterfly and flowers. “THANK YOU to those that have stood with me.”

Last month, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson released a statement to TMZ, saying, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
As of now, it’s still unclear if Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette will ever air.
