Kyle Cooke reacted to Amanda Batula’s public kiss with West Wilson, and he shared whether he thinks they were romantically involved while on Summer House. Meanwhile, sources revealed how he met Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King amid their recent flirty encounter.
A few weeks ago, Kyle’s estranged wife, Amanda, shocked fans by confirming her romance with West after rumors circulated that they were secretly dating. Though Amanda and Kyle recently announced their split, they were still together when Summer House filmed last year.
In the latest episode, West and Amanda flirted openly in front of the cameras. Throughout the season, fans have noticed other similar encounters. Recently, the couple was seen kissing in public at a Yankees game.
Last Thursday, Kyle was spotted in photos hanging out with Meghan on a street in NYC after their attendance at a Page Six party.
In an April 19 post on Threads, Kyle reacted to the footage of Amanda and West kissing.
“Was not prepared to see that,” he wrote. “And that. And that 🤢.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, an insider shared that Kyle met Meghan at the Page Six party at Temple Bar.
“Kyle didn’t know Meghan prior to being at the same event last night. She had pursued him the second she saw him,” said the source of their run-in, which was unintentional. “He was definitely buzzed and was having fun with her. It’s nothing serious, but they did hang out all night even after the event was over, and made out several times in public.”
A second insider said Kyle and his friends got to the party at about 8:30 p.m., and he started talking to Meghan and others while making rounds.
“He seemed in great spirits, catching up with friends and being especially warm and appreciative with staff,” said the source. “Meghan did seem interested and gravitated toward him more as the night went on.”
Per the insider, after the party ended at about 10:00, Meghan and Kyle left with a group headed for Bar Bianchi, and they stayed there till about 1:00 in the morning.
“It felt more like a fun, slightly flirty night out than anything serious,” the source stated. “The kissing seemed like something just after a few drinks and a good night with friends.”
“He doesn’t care what people think,” said the first source. “[Kyle’s] having fun right now and going out and meeting new people.”
Speaking to Page Six, Kyle shared his reaction to the latest episode of Summer House, and he explained his post on Threads.
“So [when I wrote that], I was kind of off the cuff, just in my feels, and I [had] just watched that episode, and I think there were just a lot of WTF moments,” he said. “But I want to take the moment, since I’m here, [to say] I did not mean to perpetuate the theory that this is going on since last summer. I hope that Amanda makes it crystal clear at the reunion that that’s not the case.”
“I was just reacting to the episode as a whole,” he said. “I can’t remember an episode where [my] jaw opened on so many different occasions. And I know we’re all watching it through a different lens, and I’m just hoping that people — I’m not asking [fans] to give Amanda the benefit of the doubt — but it would be insanity, it would be diabolical behavior for them to behave in a flirty way if something was going on.”
Kyle said he thinks West gave her the vibe that he’s a “safe zone” and a “friend.”
“I don’t think those are his intentions, but … I hope that I’m proven correct at the reunion that this [romance] was recent,” he added. “And that’s the only thing I want to just clear up about my Threads post.”
