When Real Housewives of New Jersey announced who would be returning for the upcoming 15th season, Jennifer Aydin did not make the cut.
While she’s claimed to be okay with moving on from the show, insisting she doesn’t need it, an insider exclusively spilled to Reality Blurb that things are a bit different behind the scenes.
“Jen Aydin is saying she doesn’t need the show and is acting nonchalant about not being on it,” a source said. “Yes, she doesn’t ‘need’ the show theoretically. But she is truly hurt and privately devastated she’s not on it.”
The insider claimed Jennifer “would’ve been happy to return” due to loving “the fame and notoriety” that comes with being on the show.
“Teresa Giudice and Jen are real-life friends, and in that sense, it would’ve made sense for her to return,” they continued. “However, she sealed her fate with the scandal of allegedly sending a blogger screener episodes of RHONJ last season and her airport scandal with the Jersey Mike’s woman.”
The source reiterated that regardless of how Jennifer “may act” or what she’s “purporting,” she’s “definitely upset she’s not on the show.”
“No one would be surprised if she tries showing up to filming events as she did during Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip,” they added. “However, production has made it clear they’re not interested in filming her and won’t be following her if she does.”
Jennifer previously addressed appearing on Road Trip, stating she attended as she is one of Teresa’s closest friends, and it was a “costume party” that she “couldn’t pass up.”
“I did not go to film,” she said. “I was not filmed. I don’t think I was filmed. … I was there for my friend to have a good time.”
On her TV Gold With Jennifer Aydin podcast last month, Jennifer addressed leaving RHONJ.
“I am not coming back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” she stated. “Thank you so much for everyone who is a fan of me and upset about that news. Listen, you guys are very passionate about this show. You guys are gonna have strong feelings about me, Margaret Josephs, all the cast members. I appreciate that. That’s great.”
She noted she received a phone call before the return of the show being announced, insisting not coming back to the hit Bravo show “doesn’t change my life either way.”
“I kinda knew that already, though,” she continued. “[The producer said], ‘I kinda had a feeling that you knew, but you did give so much to the show, and we just felt it was right to call you.’ I was like, ‘OK, thanks, I guess?’ I appreciate that, and I said that to her, but in my mind, I was like, ‘You’re, like, two years too late.’”
Jennifer also addressed the alleged incident with the blogger, admitting she “formed a relationship” and was “talking” with them. While she said she was “compassionate” toward them, she stated she was “conned.”
