While rumblings began that The Real Housewives of New Jersey had started taping for season 15, an insider exclusively spilled the beans to Reality Blurb on what’s actually going on.
The chatter about the show starting filming began when Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga shared photos from Rails Steakhouse, where the infamous ending to season 14 went down. Dolores Catania was also tagged by Teresa in the pics.
In Melissa’s photo, she also tagged three other women, some of whom are reportedly new RHONJ cast members.
So what actually happened at the meetup?
According to a source, “There was absolutely no filming that took place the other night when the women met at Rails.”
As for what they were doing, the source dished that the “old women don’t know the new women.”
“They met up to get to know one another, as they don’t actually know each other in real life,” the insider elaborated.
So, when will production on the much-anticipated 15th season begin?
The source confirmed that filming for the new season is set to start “in May.”
“To date, no filming has occurred,” they reiterated.
The women not being familiar with one another echoes something a source had previously discussed with Reality Blurb, specifically stating there may be no authentic drama due to the new cast members not having any authentic connection to Dolores, Teresa, or Melissa.
“It’s going to be a situation like Amber Marchese and the twins,” they shared, making a nod to the sixth season of RHONJ when three newbies from South Jersey were brought on. “It’s not going to work out, and the show will be a bomb.”
“Even if the new girls fight, who cares?” they said. “We don’t know them.”
The source also pointed out that the new women could potentially spar with Teresa, but they noted viewers may not be engaged in that either.
“They’re so much younger, and it doesn’t seem authentic,” they stated.
Reality Blurb previously confirmed that Xiomara Laracuente, Juliette Collazo, Natia Rufolo, Vanessa Barrera, and Deeba Patel are the new women expected to join Teresa, Dolores, and Melissa for the new RHONJ season.
“This is definitely the cast for next season,” a source previously stated.
As for what to expect from the new season, the insider who spoke with Reality Blurb detailed it’s going to be the “Teresa show.”
“The head producer of the show is ‘Team Teresa Giudice,’ as he was Teresa’s producer back in the day,” they explained.
“It’s going to be the Teresa show,” they continued, detailing that the show will be focused on Teresa. “It will be based all around her and the restaurant her daughter, Gia, is opening.”
With Margaret Josephs departing the show, the source also questioned why production didn’t go in a different direction.
“It would have made sense to give Teresa a spin-off show,” they said. “She has legions of dedicated fans who, of course, would have watched her on her own program. Then they could have kept Margaret, Dolores, and Melissa on RHONJ.”
