Kyle Cooke shared an update with West Wilson as he hinted at his recent text. The Summer House star also addressed where he stands with his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, after filming the reunion.
Just over a month ago, Amanda and West confirmed rumors that they’re romantically involved. West was previously in a relationship with Amanda’s good friend, Ciara Miller, and West himself was close with Kyle.
After the confirmation, Kyle (who has been separated from Amanda for many months) defended her as he claimed she’s been struggling mentally amid online attacks from fans. His sympathy did not, however, extend to West. Kyle, in fact, accused his castmate of using his charm to get whatever he wants, and he suggested that West manipulates viewers.
But on Reality Nightcap, Kyle shared an update with West.
“West did text me last week,” said Kyle. “I sent him a voice memo because I just felt like it was gonna take forever for me to put words down. I mean, look, I’m not the kinda guy that holds grudges.”
“Obviously, this is a very unfortunate situation. I don’t think people really realize just how close we were. So it’s just tough. This is uncharted territory for me,” he added. “I don’t know. I’ve obviously never gone through something like this, but I don’t even think I have a friend who’s gone through something like this, so I don’t know what the protocol is. I don’t know what the playbook is.”
He then addressed where he stands with Amanda.
“Amanda and I were making a pretty valiant effort to keep it amicable,” he explained. “I was just kind of at peace with not really trying to tell my side of the story. And it just is what it is.”
“And now that all [these] rumors were confirmed and all that stuff, I’ve, in a weird way, tried to be there for Amanda just because I know her mental state and just how fragile she is,” he said. “The reunion was tough.”
New episodes of Summer House air Tuesday nights on Bravo. Parts of the upcoming reunion were recently leaked, though fans are still anxious to see it in full.
