Ever since Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their relationship, things have been understandably different in their friend group.

Last night, at Vulture’s Reality Masterminds event, Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard both attended.

While speaking on the red carpet, Carl admitted he hasn’t spoken with West Wilson.

“He has reached out to me, but I’m not in — I’m not ready to respond,” Carl shared. “From what I know of what’s gone and how he’s kind of handling it and how I handle things — like, I’ve also been… a sh*tty person and done stupid things. But I also really care how I make people feel. And part of me worries — I don’t think he totally understands still the impact of some of this.”

Carl noted they’ve been “over this many times” with West regarding how he handles things between him and Ciara Miller through “many dinner tables” and “many seasons.”

“And here we are again,” he added. “So I don’t have a lot of grace for some of it. But I hope he’s doing okay. I wish him well. But… I can’t really hold space for someone like that.”

While appearing on the red carpet, Lindsay was asked if the Summer House cast could ever get back to being as close as they were pre-scandal.

“I don’t know if there’s a world where this exact cast can get back to a best friendship,” she stated. “Sh*t happens.”

“But there is a world where my ex-fiancé is right next to me, and I hug him when I walk in the door because we know he loves hugs,” she said, referring to Carl. “And, you know, there’s a world where that can maybe exist. Hugs.”

Lindsay also addressed her friendship with Amanda, admitting she’s “having a hard time with it.”

“Amanda and I are closer than we’ve ever been before,” she elaborated. “We got really close on In The City. And I completely had her back — like on her side, team Amanda throughout filming. I loved filming with Amanda because we’re the veterans of the group. There’s a lot of new people. It just was… easy and comfortable and like seamless filming with her.”

“And, so, yeah — we’re… gonna have to have a talk about this.”

Once inside the event, Kyle Cooke DJ’d, and Lindsay and Carl both took the stage together to dance to Fun’s “We Are Young.”

West and Amanda officially confirmed they were an item on March 31.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” they wrote in a joint social media statement at the time.

“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they added.

The couple explained they kept quiet about the relationship as their “feelings evolved” because they wanted to “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”

“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they noted. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
