After what many fans deemed a somewhat lackluster season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, coupled with Bravo not announcing a new season of the show at the NBC Upfronts earlier this week, fan speculation began running wild online that the show was paused.
Kyle Richards, who has been on the show from the beginning, addressed the chatter.
“What about RHOBH?” a fan asked on social media.
Another responded it “must be on pause,” as it was “not listed” among the shows Bravo renewed.
Kyle responded relatively soon after, writing that it’s “not on pause.”
Rumors about the show come fresh on the heels of a wild conspiracy theory surfacing about Kyle’s divorce from Mauricio Umansky.
As fans know, Kyle and Mauricio officially announced their separation in July 2023.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” the couple shared in a joint social media statement at the time. “There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
“Thank you for the love and support,” the couple concluded, signing both of their names to it.
To date, they have not officially moved forward with filing for divorce.
In a wild theory that surfaced on Reddit, a fan piped in with their opinion on why things still have not progressed regarding the couple divorcing.
“My theory as to why Mauricio hasn’t filed for divorce from Kyle is that he’s essentially trying to buy time to protect his financial interests, especially his stake in The Agency, before going down the legal route,” they wrote.
They noted how Kyle was “confidently” speaking at the RHOBH season 15 reunion about having half ownership of Mauricio’s well-known real estate firm.
“So it feels like Mauricio might be figuring out a loophole to limit her ability to come after that once proceedings start,” the fan added. “That could explain why he’s not pushing for anything and is instead taking advantage of Kyle’s reluctance. In the meantime, he still gets to live like he’s single and do whatever he wants without taking on any immediate financial consequences.”

In late March, Kyle spoke out to claim she and Mauricio had talked about getting back together.
“There has been more talk about that as of recently, I will say … the longer things go on like this, it seems harder, you know, to think about how do you come back from this,” she stated on the March 30 episode of Dear Media‘s The Bossticks. “I think both of us, it’s just hard to accept or acknowledge because it’s such a big part of our identities, you know, being married so long, but we’ve kept it so normal with our family.”
We’re not legally separated, but we just don’t live together,” she continued. “We haven’t done any paperwork … Listen — you don’t love someone that long and have that kind of relationship with them and just … disappear … We built this beautiful life together, and this beautiful family, and I have a lot of respect for him, and I have a lot of love for him. So there’s just been no reason to fight. We haven’t had somebody, a third party pushing us to separate or file. So we’ve just been doing it on our own terms, in our own time.”
